We have a rough game plan of how we are going to attack this.

Engineering is working on; Skids, roof rack and sliders first.

Sourced a badlands front bumper so we can get skids sorted out.

The Co-pilot 360 is pre-collision, Automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring and cross traffic.

The front facing technology is in the windshield. It is irrelevant to aftermarket bumper applications.
Think this could be a problem if we need to have the windshield replaced? Arizona is #1 for windshield damage. Thanks

Don't get me wrong. I do understand your comment. I am sure the unibody limitations are an issue. These show builds probably have extensive modifications, welds etc. that make bolt on bumpers not possible for production. Guess I should get a nudge bar and call it the day. So far this one looks very promising with d-ring mounts.

Thanks for this thread. Our Outer Banks won't be used off road, but still looking for aftermarket things to add. I have 375,000 points I need to use up.

It’s an issue in adding cost to the windshield. Heating elements for defrosting in front of the cameras. Marginally more labor. Most newer cars are north of 700 bucks for a windshield replacement.

If you think your Ford dealer replaces windshields, you’ve got a surprise coming. They call a company to come to their shop and do the replacement, basically just acting as a middle man. No dealership is going to invest in all the specialized tools/training required to replace today’s windshields. I’m sure there is a whole list of things that they contract out. Window tint and paint protection film are two others that come to mind.

Sounds good. But like someone else said roof racks are a dime a dozen. Time spent on the front bumper/winch mount would be worthwhile. Just my $.01

The front bumper would need an ecu extension and relocation area if you swapped bumpers. If you look into the opening for the drivers side front tow hook you can see it mounted there. Is also the first area to take damage off-road since the front bumper hangs so low

This isn’t our first rodeo. We have a full platform plan and we normally have the entire platform into production in under 90 days.

My engineers are working on multiple products at one time. Full bumpers always come last, as we have to work other products (like skids for example) around factory bumpers first.
