Making great progress on skid plates so far!

The front/engine skid will fit all model broncos. All the skids can be run independently of the others.

We are working on floor/Evap skids that will also serve as the backbone for the sliders. More to come on that.

Since Ford Keeps moving build dates your pictures help to keep me still wanting my Bronco Sport. Yesterday was a very aggrevating day for Ford emails.

Very cool. Would very likely be interested in something that covers the Cat section.

Awesome to see someone finally doing this! Quick couple of technical questions tho.

What are they made/going to be made of and what kind of clearance loss is there. It seems it may be significant.

And lastly, I run a front bumper skid already and it looks like that is still a ā€œblankā€ on your prototypes. It is the one from rally innovations. Will I still be able to run that if I were to go with your stuff when it comes to market?

There is no clearance loss over the factory felt liners. We tuck stuff up as tight as we can to avoid any unnecessary clearance losses.

These are made from 1/8ā€ steel. Itā€™s the most strength for the buck. You have to remember, this sport is a unibody with a smaller motor. You want to keep weight down and donā€™t want to force damage to other parts of the structure. You want the skids to absorb most of the Impact and be the part that takes the damage under a heavy heavy impact.

We started our business with the unibody jeep Cherokee. We have learned a lot about armoring unibodies correctly.

As for the other company front skid, weā€™d need you to email us pictures to see if the rest would work.

I think what @Folkman is referring too is protection of the front lower bumper area. In many of the off road videos of the Sport, this area and the felt under the drivers side near the gas canister seem to be the usual places of damage.

We have something coming for the evap and the passenger floor. Going to make it part of the backbone to mount sliders off of. Itā€™s the best way we can figure out to give enough strength for sliders.

Some skid plates allow for a drain location and not a filter removal. As you stated I understand the reasoning. Is there a reason nobody mentions a filter relocation kit? Is there a good location under there to do that? I dont necessarily mean JCR but more of a question in general since I do not have a sport to look under yet. Seems like an obvious solution.

@Escape2Bronco got it right. I can get you some pics. On my badlands it shares the front 4 bolts of theOEM steel plate (Iā€™m badlands). I already have the evap coverage in badlands, but the fuel lines for some reason ford decided cam just hang out down there.

Also liking the idea of that passenger skid and some sliders. Already have a dent in my pan exactly where one of the grommets are. Nothing too serious. But still annoyed me. Since I am new to the sport, it originally scared me haha. War trophy.

I look forward to seeing the progression of your venture. Wasnā€™t trying to dog on yā€™all. Iā€™m excited we are finally getting some love. I think there is ample video graphic proof the Sport deserves protection. Only that and clearance seem to hold the smaller sibling back.

if you need any beta testerā€¦ā€¦. šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜†
