Hi all - I'm looking for some advice on how to tap into accessory power in the fuse box in the engine compartment. My Tectico side markers have burned out after two years. I have some new side marker lights that want to connect to switched power and I'm not clear what the best option is. I see lots of threads that talk about the topic but haven't found anything that points to a specific fuse. I assume I'll want to use a fuse tap. This is what I'm installing. Any advice is welcome.
Please and thank you.

It seems you have to run it inside to the #3 fuse tap by the footwell.

My OBX has the 4 acc. switches overhead. They are fused and each has a relay.
Those switches are new for 2025 and he has a 2023.

you need to go to inside fuse box for tap, it has a really different fuse box under hood, cant be tapped which is odd that by diagrams has unused accessory fuses

It turns out you can use the fuse box in the engine compartment. I was able to use a fuse tap on fuse #60 (USB smart charger). The tap does make it a tight fit to close the lid, though. For those that are curious, I spliced into the blue/green wire at the driver side headlight and yellow/purple wire at the passenger side headlight for turn signals.

If at all possible could you post a photo of your fuse box closed now that you have it tapped? I worried about water intrusion or it not being a tight fit so ran it to the interior footwell fuses.

Update - apparently fuse 60 is not a good option, as it appears to be energized all the time. Looking for another solution.
Edit: It seems it does eventually de-energize. It just takes a while.

Quite a few owners posted there are 4 relays and pointed out their location under the hood. Ford provided the relays and each is fused (3 are 10A and one is 30A).

The Ford supplied wire size is what seems to be the limiting factor for higher current applications unless the wire length is kept short enough

here’s a couple of posts and there are more on this forum with additional details

Thanks for the correction. Nice to see they updated that from the full size. I’ll delete my post.
