I hear you... but that 3 cylinder gas mileage is great.
Just think it through and get what best fits your needs and budget.

The old fart in me remembers when V-6's were laughed at and made fun of by the V-8 guys, the dad in me remembers when 4 cylinders were frowned upon by the V-6r's, the grandpa in me couldn't imagine owning a 3 cylinder! I priced them all, but came to the conclusion that I'd rather have 1/2 a V-8 rather than 1/2 a V-6....lol

I grew up with two choices: V-8 or inline 6. One for fast, the other for work.

You not kidding, I have a 2022 BB and average 28.3 in the city and 34.3 when on road trips. Because it so good I go ahead and fill her up with Preimum.

We've got a 25 BL. It just turned over 3000 miles so it isn't even broken it yet & have averaged a little over 27 mpg. Comparing earlier model issues we went with the 2.0L.

The dealer offered me a full size Bronco Big Bend 2025 with hard top for CAD$10K more than the 2025 Bronco Sport OBX with Sasquatch. Both came with the black painted aluminum 17" wheels. The full size is nice,... dark gray with the shadow package and all, but I still went for the smaller Bronco Sport with all it's bash and skid plates, better mileage. It was tempting, though.

If you are really going to get a 2025. I'd say go big or go home, meaning get the Badlands Sasquatch. You've already lived the 3 cylinder life, getting another is like having what you already have just with more lipstick.
The majority of people that went big seem to be much more satisfied with the Sport experience having moved to the 2.0.
I can understand if fuel mileage is of utmost importance if using the Sport as a daily driver commuter vehicle and you need every mpg you can get and you smile because of the fuel mileage and not the driving experience that you'd get with the 2.0.

Picked up the 2025 BS OBX SAS from the dealer yesterday. The trip was almost 4 hours highway each way, so I had a great opportunity to compare it with my trade-in, a 2023 BS BB.

First impression: the new MPC engine is a big step up from the Dragon. Since the car is brand new and still breaking in, I kept things gentle—cruising at about 91 km/h, with the occasional stretch to 105 km/h.

The 2025 refresh is impressive. The tech upgrades feel polished, at least from this first drive. I’m especially fond of the OBX ebony/brown trim—it looks fantastic. The B&O sound system is definitely better than the base model’s, though I wouldn’t call it amazing—perfectly fine for most listening.

Only one dealer-installed accessory so far: low-profile window visors, and they work great. I had them on my trade-in as well. Actually I should say two, as the car came with roof cross bars.

Overall, it’s a sharp-looking crossover SUV and I’m looking forward to putting more miles on it.
