245/65r17 tire fits in spare compartment

Looks like a 245/65r17 will fit in the spare trunk compartment . The cover will just sit up about 1.5” which actually keeps it level in the back

1.5” higher than the upper full size spare position? Also keep in mind that the sidewalls will probably spread when mounted on a rim and aired up.

good to know! still going to test this with the toyo open country at3 on the 17" spare on ours.

my 245/65/17 Pirelli Scoprion AT Plus also fits in the back. It's a little bit snug but it doesn't move during travel or make any noise.
