2025 BS felt liners in front wheel wells

I was washing my Bronco Sport and and the front wheel wells were packed with ice and snow. I used my pressure washer to clean them out and I noticed that there were felt strips hanging down. I guess Ford used a felt liner in the wheel wells rather then metal or plastic.
Has anyone else out there had similar issues?

The coating is on top of the plastic wheel well to assist in reducing road noice. Outer Banks and Badlands trim levels utilize these.

You could just purchase the Big Bend wheel liners and install those. They do not have the felt on them.

Many cars now have the felt wheel well liners and underbody covers, not just Ford.

Yes so there are a few ideas out there on how to deal with the snow velcro effect.
I didnt realize it was an issue until too late.
