If there's still power to the camera and you manually turn it off, it won't auto-start on ignition unless you've been parked long enough for the USB port to be powered off. I learned that the hard way.Yesterday I was driving most of the day. The battery was charged.
Had some glitches with the dashcam. I have the screen set to turn off after 1 minute. It was working fine. I had numerous starting and shutting down sequences of the engine during the day.
On a couple of startups, the dashcam would not turn on. I had too manually turn it on.
Other times it would work fine.
This is the 1st time I have had this issue.
The camera was not hot, just warm to the touch.
Not sure what to think. I like this camera but not sure if it defective or what.
I have till the 23rd to return it to Amazon. On the fence about returning it, requesting an exchange or looking at something else.
