Yesterday I was driving most of the day. The battery was charged.
Had some glitches with the dashcam. I have the screen set to turn off after 1 minute. It was working fine. I had numerous starting and shutting down sequences of the engine during the day.
On a couple of startups, the dashcam would not turn on. I had too manually turn it on.
Other times it would work fine.
This is the 1st time I have had this issue.
The camera was not hot, just warm to the touch.
Not sure what to think. I like this camera but not sure if it defective or what.
I have till the 23rd to return it to Amazon. On the fence about returning it, requesting an exchange or looking at something else.

If there's still power to the camera and you manually turn it off, it won't auto-start on ignition unless you've been parked long enough for the USB port to be powered off. I learned that the hard way.

If you leave it on and let it time out how fast will it drain your battery?
