Very few people sell or trade in "good reliable" vehicles. Yes I know there are exceptions to this. I would not buy one of these computers on wheels unless I buy it new. I have said it before in this forum, I will be either selling mine or trading it in before the manufacturers warranty period ends.
I agree. I was looking at Passports and BSs. I saw a white '23 Passport Elite with 4K miles for an asking price of $43999 at a Benz dealer. I could have gotten it for $42K so easily, it scared me in these times. Carfax was clean and it looked great. If it was at a Honda dealer, I would have been more interested. I just had a bad vibe about it.
I love the BS retro look, style, OBX option pkgs etc and went with one.

45k was the mileage on my 17 ecoboost Mustang when I traded in for the 21 Bronco Sport. They gave me almost what I paid for it brand new 5 years after. I don't think prices are that crazy today. Depending on the dent and what packages the car has, 28k maybe is not a bad price.

Leasing is a huge ripoff. Too many junk fees. The only people lease is because they can't afford to buy outright. I pay cash for any vehicle I buy.
I lease at times with nothing or very little money
upfront. Leasing is great for someone who doesn't keep their vehicle. I'm one of those people. I like new tech and the joy of a new vehicle. Carfax hit, no problem with the lease.
However, in today's market, I agree, it's not the time to lease.

thank you again everyone. It's around 28K. I just looked at it and it had a huge dent in the back!!!!! OMG.
What condition is the interior, paint, etc.? The big dent bothers me somewhat. Did the previous owner maintain it well, questionable to me if they didn't care to fix the dent.

It's a vehicle I would not consider, but that's just me. There has to be other used one's around, even if you have to drive a little.

I've driven as far as 500 miles to buy, what I consider, the right vehicle for me.

thats not always true. I’ve leased a few vehicles in my days. Made good sense in that season of life when I was dealing with a lot of unknowns and temporary situations. people say that about renting too.

45,000 miles and no problems Other than the dent? That’s not too much….28K is too much!
