So wife informed today that she sees coolant in passenger floorboard. Obviously, it is probably the heater core leaking already. The damn car has 32,000 miles on it and is only 4 years old. Of course it missed being in warranty by less than a year. Did Ford use sub-par materials in these vehicles? I have had many vehicles and most of them Ford and only had 1 heater core failure and that was a 1999 F150 with 125,000 miles on it. And yes, I put all those miles on it so I know it never had another heater core replacement. Ohh, and according to dealer, it requires a dash removal which bumps the repair cost to almost $2300. I understand needing to do repairs but it seems kinda early for that kind of repair.
Just venting and wondering if anyone else has had a heater core go out already.
