So literally a year ago my much loved 2009 Escape Hybrid, came down with a steering problem while visiting my Dad and no parts could be found to fix it. Enter basically the same car but more off roadie 2024 BL 2.0. (note I broke the tie rods twice on the Escape taking on trails around here) Fortunately I am a Ford prodigy and brought Dad along with his discount code. Phew, but still pricey. 1st Trip Driving from Myrtle Beach SC to my home in Salt Lake. Big hit to my wallet gas wise compared to the Hybrid but loved the ride. Made it in 2.5 days averaging about 80mph. Yes there were times I hit 100 on those long stretches of road. MPG was 24.7. I didn't put it into eco mode. Fall I made a trip to MOAB for the off-Rodeo and had a blast learning about my car. LOVE the trail control for cruising down the local dirt road switchbacks. Winter comes along and switched tires to Cross Climates and added a Ski Rack. MPG dropped to 23.8. This included a nice trip to Sun Valley. Great traction up and down the canyon to Snowbird and Alta. Summer '25 back to the Pirelli's and switched ethanol free gas 88 octane. Running the AC constantly as temps have averaged 96 all summer. Huge difference in MPG. I am now back up to averaging 25.9 mpg and occasionally see 26. I drive a mix of Highway and street around town. So 11,700 miles into this and I am in love with my car again. Looking forward to some more adventures.

That's quite the road trip! I really want to go back to Moab and try the BS version of the Off-Roadeo. I did it in the full size one and I heard the BS can handle most of the trails we did!

If you go to Moab, and you fish, spend a night at Warner lake. The campground is up in the aspens, and very nice. The fishing is some of the best I've ever experienced. Deer walk by in the campground just a few yards away. The Off-Rodeo was also a blast.

I just bought my BS OBX in April, and I want to go to the Off-Rodeo in Moab. I'm just curious if the Off-Rodeo is useful and informative if you don't own the BL since you're driving a BL during the day. Do you think Off-Roadeo is a good idea even if you don't own a BL?

Absolutely. You’ll still learn a great deal about what you can accomplish even without the added capabilities of the BL Sasquatch (which has been reported as the Off-Roadeo trim provided, also probably why mine took nearly seven months for delivery).
