After driving a Badlands at the Texas Off Roadeo, I was impressed by how "soft" the ride felt compared to my Big Bend over small bumps on pavement. Anyone know of any budget-friendly options to improve ride quality on the 1.5L?

Now there's a twist...someone wanting a softer ride instead of a heavier duty ride!

? To clarify, I like the ride and feel of my Big Bend. But driving the Badlands did get me thinking. If anyone bought shocks or springs that changed ride quality for the better in their view.

I'm not poking at you. I too like the softer ride thin my Outer banks BS. I could have bought a 4x4 that would handle much better on certain trails.

Just cool to see that others want the softer ride in a AWD!

There may have been some user error here ?. I checked my tire pressure this morning and they were sitting at 37-38 PSI. I aired them down to the recommended 33 and that instantly improved ride quality over road imperfections under 35 MPH. At the Off Roadeo the tires were around 32-33 PSI. My car was delivered with PSI in that upper-30 range and hadn't thought to air down until now. Wasn't really noticeable at highway speeds.

Tire pressue makes a huge difference. I was surprised when you said a Badlands rode softer than yours. I would expect the opposite. My friend with a Tacoma 4x4 commented immediately on how nice my BL rode. I'm not that picky, but mine rides smoother than my wife's Hyndai Tucson, which has very low aspect ratio. She wanted it anyway.

Don’t waste your $$$$$$$
This has nothing to do with the topic, but your comment paired with the random advertisement under it gave me a chuckle.
