What is the logic in padding Ford's pockets ($$$) for an extended warranty? Why would anybody "pre-pay repairs" as accepting lack of quality? Its a great way for Ford or (any other company) to make mega bucks praying on people's "what if" emotions.
Instead of giving your hard earned money away...
Unfortunately...I can relate somewhat:
The bad:
- Rear Differential grinding noise - fixed tied up at dealer 2 weeks. (@12K miles)
- Fuel Injector recall (6 month wait on parts)
-Front Brakes recall - now significant dust on front wheels....YECHHH! and creaking noise at slow stops.
-Rear brake...
Exact same outcome for mine also after my dealer serviced the recall. It is now nearly impossible to keep the front wheels clean of brake dust and the vehicle "creaks" before a complete stop. Had I known this I would have replaced the front pads myself with high quality ceramics.
I can't find my receipt from the dealer, but I believe it quoted this TSB:
SSM 49571 - 2019-2021 Edge/Nautilus, 2020-2021 Escape/Corsair, 2021 Bronco Sport - AWD - Chatter/Shudder During Low Speed Turning Events Some 2019-2021 Edge/Nautilus, 2020-2021 Escape/Corsair, 2021 Bronco Sport vehicles...
I just had the "shudder when turning" fixed at my dealer. Change differential fluid and add friction modifier. Shudder and vibration at low-speed turns gone. There is a TSB on this. (2021 BS Base @ 18,000 miles.)

My 2021 BS is currently sitting a week at the dealership awaiting being looked at for an issue with the rear differential. They estimate 1-2 months until the issue is fixed. Thankfully, they gave me a 2023 Explorer as a loaner (what a gas guzzler).
As a legacy Bronco II owner, I was really...

My BS is at the dealer getting the rear differential replaced. They expect 3-4 week turn around with ordering parts and skilled labor issues. Thankfully, they gave me a loaner (2023 Explorer), but when I...
It was a sarcastic response to cprcubed's statement:
"...... I would like to see this specific "defective injector" recall. If it is the one concerning the drain tube and software update, you are flat out wrong, I wish folks would quit posting misinformation on the subject. Cheers!"
Yes, the...
So I guess I should throw away my recall letter for Campaign/NHTSA #22S73/22V859:
"On your vehicle there is a possibility that a fuel injector may crack, which may result in fuel accumulating on the top of the engine."
The recall remediation is the drain tube and software update to alert the...
Had the infamous battery failure today at 18,400 miles. While at the dealership, they noticed this noise (which has become more prevalent and vibrates the vehicle on slow turns). There is also now an occasional banging noise and the feel of drive-train slippage.
The problem is in the rear...
I never reached out to them as the user Ford Motor Company, above, did not validate to me that they are in fact with the company by sending their contact information.
The more I hear the noise, and the particular circumstances as to when it is made, leads me to believe that it is from the rear...
@Ford Motor Company, thank you for your reply. A VIN number is considered to be Personally Identifiable Information (PII). In order to verify that you are a real representative of Ford, please PM me your contact information including your name and phone number. I will verify that you are truly a...
I've been hearing only what I can describe a deep bass sound, like a sub-woofer rumble, seemingly coming from the rear of my BS-Base model (no sub-woofer on audio system). It took me a while to identify that it is actually coming from my vehicle instead of others passing by, etc.
The sound is...
Thanks for all the input. I think that the issue is likely the combination of the humidity and rain here (6" in the past day) and that the brakes are new and have to wear-in a little. I recall that I had a similar noise on a 2013 Mazda CX-5 after a front brake pad replacement. It's not a huge...
Hello all:
The front brake pads on my BS Base were replaced last week under the recall. The new pads make a momentary "creaking" sound at just about a full stop (less than 1 mph), and momentarily creaking sound when the brakes are released upon acceleration. Other than this, there are no...
Had my BS in for an oil change two weeks ago. Dealer ordered parts for brake recall then. They confirmed parts were received today. Will bring in next week for the brake recall fix.
