I just had the "shudder when turning" fixed at my dealer. Change differential fluid and add friction modifier. Shudder and vibration at low-speed turns gone. There is a TSB on this. (2021 BS Base @ 18,000 miles.)

I have the same issue currently, can you please elaborate?

I can't find my receipt from the dealer, but I believe it quoted this TSB:
SSM 49571 - 2019-2021 Edge/Nautilus, 2020-2021 Escape/Corsair, 2021 Bronco Sport - AWD - Chatter/Shudder During Low Speed Turning Events Some 2019-2021 Edge/Nautilus, 2020-2021 Escape/Corsair, 2021 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with all wheel drive (AWD) may exhibit chatter/shudder during low speed turning events due to fluid contamination. Drain and refill the rear drive unit (RDU), refer to Workshop Manual Section (WSM) 205-02. Drive for 8 km (5 miles) in stop and go conditions with right and left turns and re-evaluate. If the issue is still present, continue with WSM diagnostics. For claiming, use base (4000) causal part.

I recall that the receipt also indicate that they added a "friction modifier" to the rear differential. The noise and vibration are gone.

I'm quite fed-up with the lack of quality I've experienced in only 19K miles of driving my BS. Being a legacy Bronco II owner, I couldn't wait to snag one....now I can't wait to get rid of it. I won't carry it past expiration of the factory warranty.

For a few months I had a similar start of this noise with low speed acceleration only with turning. Started around 11-13K miles on my BS OB 2021. Finally took it in along with my 22S73 PCM recall.
The official item notes say, “FOUND SSM 51823 DRAIN AND DILL DRU”
parts needed?
Qty 1, “XY -75W-QL Oil Rear Axel”

Noise is gone for now and maybe just psychologically I feel like it’s driving like when i got it off the lot.
Hope this helps anyone with this absolutely annoying noise.

Same issue here on my 2021 BS - they changed out the fluid per the TSB and drives way better than it has. It's only been a few days but so far so good. My service advisor at the dealer told me that it would drive better with the new fluid.

UPDATE: Took the Bronco Sport into two different dealerships. One dealership service manager went for a ride and finally agreed that he heard the noise and that it did not sound normal. I left it with the dealership for a few days and then got a phone call from the service manager saying he talked to Ford, and that Ford told him this was a “normal noise“ from the rear drive unit and there was no fix. The other dealership, where the car was purchased, but 40 miles from where I live, said that they had received 12 cars in the past few months all complaining of the same noise issue and that the fix was to replace the oil in the rear axle with a different viscosity of oil. They did this and gave it back to me and the noise is exactly the same.

Ford customer service responded to my complaint on this forum and offered to put me through the “buyback“ procedure. I provided them all the service records I had and completed their forms and answered all their questions. A few days later I was told that Ford had not agreed to buy the car back.

I’ve now sent Ford and the dealership a deceptive trade practices act letter requesting that they replace the vehicle or buy it back within 60 days. If they don’t respond to this, I’ll be filing a lawsuit against Ford and the dealership. Sad that it has come to this. Never would’ve imagined I’d have so much trouble getting a car manufacturer to resolve such an obvious problem on a brand new vehicle.

I will post with further updates.

We’ve had nothing but trouble with the Broncos sport from day one.
