  1. Antenna question on a Badlands

That is great. I noticed that there are a number of length options, Usually the length affects reception, and 4" might be a good option for some ppl.
  2. Adding Tow Hitch

Each will have caveats. Ford wiring will mean less chance of something interfering (read warranty service). Ford wiring MAY be telling the Bronco to engage a 'Towing' program. That may improve drivability and safety and may destroy fuel economy. I have reached out to my Ford tech contact to...
  3. Adding Tow Hitch

Wiring runs from the battery back
  4. Oklahoma New Ford OEM All-Weather Floor Mats

I feel a little bad. We decided we wanted a bronco sport and owned one within two hours.
  5. Oklahoma New Ford OEM All-Weather Floor Mats

I have a guy in Michigan who is interested - but I haven't figured shipping cost for him. Once he gets that - he might bail and I will get with you! Thanks
  6. Adding Tow Hitch

I Installed the Curt hitch. The fit and finish is exceptional. Overall the instructions are pretty good. It is a huge help to have help. Pretty awkward alone. I worked without raising the Bronco. It was easier than having it on stands (but not as easy as it would be on a lift!). It did take...
  7. Oklahoma New Ford OEM All-Weather Floor Mats

    Yes, front and back seats.
  8. Oklahoma New Ford OEM All-Weather Floor Mats

I have a second set of All-Weather mats. They are still (mostly) in the plastic wrap, unused. I guess I am not the only one to get two sets. $100. (+actual shipping cost, if needed)
  9. Location of Oil Filter on 2.0L EcoBoost

Got to look today. It will require removal of the sheet metal bash plate. That should be pretty straightforward. The filter and drain are readily accessible at that point. I saw $40 as the typical in dealer price. If so, that would be worth considering. I’m not seeing the oil and filter for...
  10. Adding Tow Hitch

I did. I couldn’t get any response on availability. They can sell it for ½ price when they don’t have any…
  11. Adding Tow Hitch

thanks. I hope to install this weekend. Great to have more input. Looks great.
  12. Compliments!

You know how it is, 'Get a new car and suddenly they are everywhere' Not Bronco Sport! Haven't seen another, and seems to be the case with folks seeing ours. I was behind my wife going into a store and the guy behind the counter is exclaiming 'Be-u-tiful!!' I'm agreeing that she is awfully...
  13. Awning Advice Needed: Leave On or Take Off When Not In Use?

We drove it first with the awning and kayak racks. it was really bad. Took the accessories off, and with just the crossbars, still bad. Removed crossbars. Happiness. 1) We needed to drive the new machine without the noise to get used to it without distraction. Later, it might not be so bad. 2)...
  14. Synthentic Blend to Full Synthetic?

I spoke to a master Ford tech who sees the insides of countless engines. He advised me to go with Motorcraft Synthetic Blend. In his experience, it is actually far superior to the Motorcraft Full Synthetic (YMMV). He changes at 5K.
  15. Awning Advice Needed: Leave On or Take Off When Not In Use?

Came off in 1 day. Crossbars too. Too. Much. Noise.
  16. Adding Tow Hitch

Just needs the bottom 7mm bolts removed during install. Here are the instructions
  17. Trailer wiring harness recommendations?

I received my wiring kit. There were no instructions, the box points to the dealer only portal. I am sure that I can get it with the brief description on the label; would prefer to see the correct ones. Idid find an older set for Escape.
  18. Adding Tow Hitch

Here is the Ford wiring kit
  19. Air Compressor

Not a fool! The safest option by far is connecting directly to the battery. With larger tires, any compressor that is worth using is a lot for either the 12v or inverter outlets. The motor can draw a very large current under load. i’m sure there are good options that plug in. I’ll...
