I tried to answer this but don't see my reply. I didn't get the light kit from Rough Country but got NILIGHT brand from Amazon but haven't bought the harness or switch because my brother in law will be doing the install. Currently they are positioned but not operational.
I thought of doing the same but unfortunately couldn't wait so I sold my stock tires for $300 ... was worth it to me because I don't put that many miles on my vehicles so didn't want to wait 3+ years to get AT tires ... plus got a great deal on my Toyo Open Country ATIII
*Unfortunately, I've been ticketed before on my Jeep because my front plate wasn't clearly "visible" and at least according to the TX DPS ... no exceptions. 4WP charged $400 for nudge bar with lights. The one in San Antonio charges $300 IF it's a nudge bar only without lights. Ford place wanted...
Thanks!!! Will look into that. The one that came won't work since it's mounted flush into the bumper and directly behind the 2 center lights. I figured before I tried to rig one up from angle iron someone else would have a better solution.
*The guys at 4WP in San Antonio did a great and fast job installing my RC Nudge Bar today ... really, REALLY like it!
**I think I'm calling my exterior upgrades FINISHED!
***QUESTION: Since Texas requires a front license plate and my current mounting area is directly behind my lights ... HOW...
I'm finally coming to the end of my list of major items (or at least, major to me) on my to-do list. The Ford folks did a great job installing my Bushwacker fender flares (even saved all splash guards) and Aeroskin II hood protector today ... unfortunately, we didn't get to the Rough Country...
I think because mine is a base model and the actual way the windows came with pretty much no tint ... it looks a little lighter on the front 2 windows but that's as dark as my window guy would tint it in San Antonio ... and, this 65 yo can at least see out his driver's window at night ?
*Love the quality and extremely reasonable price of these OMAC CROSSBARS ... thanks to all who recommended them!
**Next week ... OEM hood protector & fender flares and finally my RC Nudge Bar w/lights!
Excellent ... thanks for the pic and video clip. I'm convinced ... now to talk my brother-in- law into doing the install ... with me as his inexperienced helper.
Thanks again!
Thanks for responding. I've seen the RC one and do like it. Did it interfere with any safety features on the vehicle ... sensors, camera ... no issues? If you add the lights ... where exactly do you add the controls? Is it integrated in the other light cluster switches? Or is it just a hidden...
Ok, I've tried to read old threads and do my own research but getting advice on an aftermarket nudge bar /bull bar selection is getting me lots of conflicting information. So, IF you have EXPERIENCE with this topic ... PLEASE HELP.
I want something to complete "the look" of form and function...
I liked your detailed OMAC crossbars review and pics of your BS. I'm down to my last few upgrades and decided not to spend too much on crossbars and I like the looks of the OMACs and the low cost. So ...
HOW HAVE THEY BEEN WORKING OUT FOR YOU? WOULD YOU DO ANYTHING DIFFERENT NOW THAT THEY'VE...
It looks AWESOME!!!
Love the carbonized grey BS with the black wheels ?. My local store was out of the Falken Wildpeak's so I went with the Toyo Open Country ATIII.
Any other mods you're considering??? I'm thinking about fender flares and a hood protector ... not sure yet.
Regardless ... ENJOY!
Hey looks great. Question: I have oem mud flaps that came on my BS but was wanting to order Bushwacker or Rough Country fender flares ... but keep getting told I'd have to ditch the mud flaps. So ... did you have to get rid of the front flaps ... assuming these are Bushwacker flares? Any mod...
Ok ... members in this group have posted that if you install Bushwacker fender flares that unfortunately you have to lose your oem mud flaps. So QUESTION: If I go with the Rough Country fender flares does their install and fit also require that I have to ditch my mud flaps??? (I haven't seen any...
Hey ... just saw these and like the looks as well as Bushwacker. My question is can I still keep my mud flaps??? Those who have Bushwacker told me that I'd have to lose the mud flaps because of how tge fender flares fit and attach. Do you know?
Thanks ... Rod
