The standard oil change interval is 10k miles. With my own 2021 Badlands I typically change the oil in the 5500 range, well before the oil life monitor says to do do it.
If you tow or use your Sport in severe duty conditions the owners manual says to change the oil at 3k miles
When I had a motor home I used a solar trickle charger to maintain the battery, I would set the panel on the dash, it came with various connection options I used the cigarette lighter connection, it was decent and could be used anywhere. Harbour Freight has solar charger that has good reviews...
My 2021 Badlands is dealer maintained, between Ford Pass points and coupons, Ford dealer service has been fairly inexpensive. I used to service my own vehicles, maybe if I had a lift I would still do it, I'm tired of laying under cars now unless it's an emergency.
Since you know the service...
I also have a Schumacher battery charger as well, you can choose between lead acid or AGM battery charging. I've never needed to use it on my 2021 Badlands, it has a AGM battery, have not had any low charge issue's with it.
I have not but years ago a friend of mine bought a Ford Focus brand new for extra cheap, it was hail damaged in transit. The Focus white and looked like it was hit all over with a ball pein hammer.
It had all the things you get with a new car, just heavily discounted.
I'm thinking 2025 was a decent update along with the addition of Sasquatch. What would be nice is to fix the dash graphics, for almost a 50k vehicle they look amateurish at best.
A few people on the board have added Lubegard to their transmission fluid and claim it has cured the shudder issue. You can do a site search for Lubegard and read the posts.

You have other posts from April with possible RDU problems, was that resolved or is this a continuation from April.
You don't want to just throw parts at the problem, you need more information like an actual diagnosis otherwise its just a guess of what the cause is.
If the 4WD module is the...
The Sport is fairly capable more so the Badlands. The biggest issue is ground clearance and as mentioned the Sport does not have a transfer case. For what most people are willing to do in regards to off roading or driving in snow or sand it does pretty well.
I have 245/65/17 Falken Rubitrek AT tires on my Badlands with 45k miles on them, I know they will make it to 50k miles possibly more as they are supposed to be a 55k tread life tire.
Rubitrek's cost less and weigh less than the AT/4W and I think are closer to what the AT/W3 was.
If I had a full...
My Badlands 4WD module had a fault last year, it also trigged a number of other codes.
Vehicle was at the dealer almost 2 weeks.
Diagnosis: 4WD module not communicating with other systems, dealer replaced the module.
In my case the module was not covered under warranty as I was just over the...
I've gone through automatic car washes with my Badlands and didn't remove the antenna or fold the mirrors in, have not had any issue's. I would be careful about how often you do it, so the clear coat doesn't end up getting damaged.
It's unfortunate that your RDU is bad, there have not been that many dual clutch RDU failures posted here in comparison to the single clutch units.
At least Ford is taking care of it, hopefully after replacement it will drive as smooth as the Sport your mom has. Good luck!
I have read some other posts with people having noise coming from the rear and said the noise would stop if they turned off the traction control. The brake system is part of the traction control system, maybe that's why the dealer replaced the brakes.
Typically grinding noise from the rear is...
Just sitting there the 255 looks like it's already rubbing.
I have 245/65/17's on my Badlands and they kiss the the front wheel well liners at full lock with the suspension compressed, I would imagine 255's would really rub enough to tear up the liners and even cause contact with the pinch weld...
