So went to dealer and they are getting the funnel and the missing panel (under the glove box) covered via warranty. No issues actually (I did buy BS from them). Apparently am first to bring up missing panel. Recall the tech saying he looked at other BSs and think the new one was missing it while...
Have a 3lbs difference b/w dash monitor and gauge (digital) from gas station... Then again, gas station gauge could be out of calibration. Manual did say do not go by dash.
Thanks folks! No funnel in glove box or spare tire area... Will check behind back seat in case fell in there. BS PDI overall good except for the ding they missed and the 42 psi tires! Sighhh.
Funnel $9 from Amazon but will see if dealer will provide one.
As for engine cover for 1.5ltr, Ford...
Believe there is thread that listed the items, but just found my BS (build date 1/22) does not have the funnel for the gas tank (usually placed by spare tire). Not big deal ($7 part), but just curious if this is another part no longer included w later builds?
Interesting read and test from Car and Driver on the question. They do test mostly high performance vehicles, but the CRV provides a relevant case study. HP bump was interesting and even more interesting was the slower 0 to 60 on premium!
Ultimately, what the owners manual says :like...
Have to agree, what something is worth is simply what someone is willing to pay for it. With supply shortages (and high style that makes it in demand :) )... Anyway, in the MA area all dealers nearby were "market adjusting" in stock BS which is why ended up buying in NH where one dealer was...
Levittown Ford btw has good prices (though certain parts can have rather pricey shipping costs (depending on zip code naturally) that'll offset their discounted parts costs)... If anyone knows of a good online Ford parts supplier in the New England region please share!
One may have noticed engine covers for both 1.5ltr and 2.0ltr are made of this rubber/foam material. If purely aesthetic and useless, in the spirit of being cheap as heck why not a simpler and cheaper plastic one? The foam material actually provides a cushioning material which can help cars meet...
Ditto to cosmetic. May have changed tone of engine a little. Cover does help prevent wires/hoses/etc from getting all gunked up with dirt and debris.
Believe hood insulator may do more for engine/road noise. That's next on to do list but part currently out of stock.
Have a creaking moonroof as well! Situation is:
Creaking sound when 3/4 to fully closed. Creaking begins to occur when moonroof is partially closed, right at the point where it starts to push against the wind deflector that pops up. From that point to being fully closed (experimented various...
Ditto to the post above on Geico's warranty plan. Quite a bit cheaper (and apparently good with their service/support). That said, still deciding b/w Geico or the Ford ESP. Flood Ford (online) seems to have the best ESP rates (very easy to get a quote). Dealer purchased from did quote around...
Ditto to those liners being for reducing road noise. Plenty of cars and SUVs use them now. The similar material in the undercarriage is also used to help with road noise and perhaps more importantly for air flow that helps improve MPG. By no means are they they meant to protect anything like...
Realize topic has been discussed over and over. Just creating a post that once and for all outlines the situation, parts needed and a simple how to (this would have so helped me).
Beginning mid 2021 Ford stopped including engine covers for BS outfitted with the 1.5 liter Dragon engine (plenty...
