Oh the hood WAS unlatched. Just seconds before the warning bell came on I thought I saw the hood patially pop, you know one of those "did I just see that? " , things. I'm assuming it was just a one time glitch. I'm just glad it didn't totally release at 70 mph. That's no fun.
My BSBB has 12 K miles on it. On Monday we started on a vacation trip of 3 1/2 hrs to Pittsburgh. About 3/4 of the way there I hear a warning noise. I just figued it was the " Do you need to take a rest?" warning I've heard before. I glance at the read out and it's warning me that the hood is...
Couldn't agree more. I judge car shows out here. When i see Chevy engines in Fords it's instant points off. About 10 years back I judged a VERY nice 37 Ford. Not only did it have a 350 Chevy in it but both valve covers proudly said CHEVROLET. IN RED NO LESS. ?
Thank you. It's a 51 Vic with a 302 V8 from an 87 Lincoln with the C4 auto in it from the same Lincoln. So many Fords out here have 350 Chevy's I wanted to keep it all Fird. Drove 900 miles to get it.
I used to always use Shell. I felt my Mopars ran best on it. Sadly there are no more Shell stations in Western NY.
PS My Mopars, with carbs, ran like garbage on Mobil. Never figured out why but it made no difference which Mobil station I went to.
Nope. I love the looks and the mileage on my BSBB. That being said I think this is my 1st and last Ford as a daily drive. Most likely going back to Jeep as of now.
As much as I'm not "in love" with my BSBB I have never once felt the car shift with the exception of when I punch it to pass someone. It shifts smooth as silk. Only notice it shifts when I see the revs on the tac drop. I do agree about the collision warning and that stupid start stop technology.
Check out TEMU . Tons of choices, Lots under $3 ! I know they're made in China but where do you think all the others come from ? Avoid the middle men. Bought some for my PY. Works fine and looks sharp.
