The 3 prong RV plug provides 120 volts 30 amps. While this will charge an EV, 120 volts typically charges are about 1 mile added per hour. You really need to upgrade this to 220 volts at 50 amps which will allow continuous use at 40 amps. This will let you add about 30 miles if range per hour...
I agree that charging at home is a big deal. Our manufacturer offered an installed charger if we bought from inventory instead of special ordering, and since we generate excess solar energy it was a no-brainer. I'm a little surprised chargers haven't become standard equipment on new home...
We tell people who want to take their AWD on the beach it's minimum $175 fee to pull them out IF their towing eye bolt is available and can be used. If not they have to call a private service. Many AWD vehicles do not have rescue hooks.
You can get a USB cd player for under $30 and rip them to your PC then copy the folders to any USB stick. I'm pretty sure I used FAT32 format on the stick. Plug it in and select Audio->Source. It often takes 15 or so seconds for the USB device to be detected.
I was scheduled for the recall update but just cancelled it. Three years , original battery, only 11K miles, and no issues except the auto stop/start doesn't work, which I am happy about. I decided not to mess with it until something gives me a reason to.
R2S will probably be my replacement. We've had an R1T pickup for 6 months and love it. The R2S should be a tad bigger than my BS but smaller than the R1S SUV.
Nice. I was a Boxter early adopter. Had a 1998. Not many people can say this, but I actually enjoyed my commute up the Garden State Parkway, especially running through the gears leaving the toll booths (pre-ezpass :sunglasses:).
According to DesignNews Ford started putting the arrow next to the gas pump image in model year 1989 after an engineer took an empty pool vehicle for a meeting and pulled up on the wrong side of the pump in the rain three years earlier.
I never did that because our annual State Inspection requires plugging into the OBD II connector and I'm sure they would fail me for making plugging in difficult. In the end I found that my trips are short enough that my battery is always charging so my auto stop/start is always disabled.
So true. Where I live AT&T is great and Verizon isn't. We even use AT&T cell for home internet. When Rivian finally starts charging for their in vehicle hotspot, we may or may not keep it depending on what other benefits having the real time connection bring. I wouldn't keep it just for a hotspot.
Hmmm… maybe you could step down from that high horse so we can discuss this. The poster missing the threaded eye wasn’t “missing” it, it was removed because the factory hitch on the Badlands didn’t leave space. Personally I think it would have been redundant as off-roaders would generally carry...
I kind of see your point, but we are talking about your Bronco Sport. Now mine is a 2021 and it didn’t come with a table to toss things onto but maybe options changed. ;)
