I'd like to see more options as well. I have two Kingsboomy pieces, the tray that fits behind the screen and the console cover. Both are well-designed and of good quality.
It's not really a hate thread. I probably should have used a different word. I am curious as to what people think could be improved. I hope our Ford CSRs who watch this forum get some feedback from it. I'm even getting used to shifting with a dial. What's next, speech recognition?
Drive, Bronco!
I've owned a number of sports, classic cars, and hot rods. I used to get a lot of snobbery because of mods like stuffing a built 327 in a Jaguar Mark X. Guys would come up and want to chat about the car and everything was cool until the mods came into question. Their reaction was always...
The "why" of it is a much more complex issue than is generally presented. There isn't one single villain or reason, there are many reasons why gas is high right now. It sucks, but we have to live through it.
Two years ago, my wife was driving a very nice Hyundai Sonata. My niece came by on her way up from hunting with her dad and to drop by a chest full of venison on her way back to college. I was away, so the two ladies hoisted the chest full of ice, cold bloody water, and dead deer onto the back...
Look at this as an opportunity to buy a new tool! Seriously.... cuss a bit, and then go tell your wife that you need an under-hood bracket remover. Then go buy whatever you want.
I went with 4 JBL GTO629s for my Big Bend along with the mounting kits and adapters. I'll use foam sealer and a mat behind each one. Everything is on order, and I'll report back after installation.
Always remember the first rule of automotive design:
Seriously.... great video. Should be required viewing for every goober with a jacked-up truck here in Bama.
I'm the last person to say "don't try it" since I come from the Smokey Yunick school. Just be prepared to go backwards a few times trying to get it right and be willing to buy new parts. :like:
That was why I preferred them. I don't want something that looks spindly. The Drag wheels remind me of American Racing Torque Thrust Ds, a classic rim that's my favorite. But it's modernized and much less beefy.
Touren TR9
Drag DR-72
I'm leaning heavily towards the Tourens. Both are 18" wheels. I'm installing a RC bull bar in matte black up front and a matte black step bumper in the rear, so I'd like the wheels to match these accessories.
