  1. Rough Country bull bar installation DIY instructions

This has been a real experience. After pulling the front bumper fascia from my Big Bend, I cut the bumper per the instructions: Their pic, from the instructions: My cuts. I put a piece of paper behind each cut to make them more visible in the photo. The distance between the top of the two...
  2. Rough Country 1.5” Lift Kit and what tires to buy.

He called just as I was posting. I have two choices, both of which MAY force it to fit. He said that they outsource the manufacturing. Their R&D guys looked at the pics that I sent and agreed that the brackets aren't formed correctly. Don't want to hijack the thread....
  3. Rough Country 1.5” Lift Kit and what tires to buy.

I've been working with Rough Country for 5 days now on their bull bar that doesn't fit my BS correctly. Good luck!
  4. I hate the white letters!

I have matte black vinyl letters, but still don't like the idea of white outlines. I'm considering painting the letters in carbonized grey to match the body color and then applying the black vinyl letters after the paint cures.
  5. Hood Deflector Options

Ordered vent shades and bug shield in matte black. I also ordered a set of side nerf bars in matte. They had exactly what I've been looking for, thanks!

Oh, come on.... you can do wonders with duct tape!
  8. Hello from Discount Tire!!!

Could you PM me as well? I'm interested in the same BFGs, but I want 4 rather than 5. Thanks.
  9. I hate the white letters!

I went for matte on my Carbonized Grey BS because it will match the bull bar and rear hitch bumperette that I'm installing. Even without the matching accessories, I think it's a better look.
  10. I need an honest opinion

    158 trouble-free miles and counting!
  11. Grille Letters: Adhesive or Pass Through?

Here's what the back of the fascia looks like. I'd hoped that I would be able to remove the letters while I had the front removed from the BS, but nope.
  12. This is the example of how not to install trailer hitch...

Exactly. 4 holes in the corners and scribe a line between them. Then use a small saw to cut along the lines. Then file or sand the rough edges.
  13. This is the example of how not to install trailer hitch...

That looks brutal. Mine didn't have a hitch installed, so I elected to do it myself after reading up on installation and seeing that someone would have to cut the bumper. I have no reason to think that the average dealer mechanic could cut it better me, so I am doing it myself. It's just not...
  14. Picked up BS BL today. Dealer claimed $1,000 order incentive did NOT apply to Bronco Sport!

Huh.... I bought my BS a month ago and an incentive wasn't mentioned. I'm wondering if that went into the dealer's pocket, or if I'm owed a check from Ford. I haven't had any luck with my local dealer when I asked them about the various missing parts that I've discovered since the purchase, so I...
  15. How come we haven't talked about gas prices? [Admin Warning: NO POLITICS]

I recall one Deere that ran on butane growing up, but I might be wrong. It had a tank up top in front of the driver. Might have been propane.
  16. How come we haven't talked about gas prices? [Admin Warning: NO POLITICS]

I think that using butane is a terrible idea. Buying all those lighters and spending the time to transfer the gas to the Bronco seems like a huge time sink, not to mention a waste of all that plastic.
