I was actually impressed by the ride on the video. I'd rather have a slightly stiff suspension for a new vehicle as it's only going to loosen up over time. It's also been proven that the stiffer suspensions generally offer better high speed driving / cornering, etc., like the Tacoma Pro 4x4 vs...
Really curious about the AC living here in AZ. By speed do you mean the output volume? Were you engaged in the worthless Auto Stop feature that limits AC output?
The Trailhawk turbo 4 is "sluggish" according to reviewers. I'd go with the 6. The Hemi would be my first choice if gas prices were not a future issue.
Keep us updated. The Trailhawk is my second choice if the BS fails the test. It just came back on my radar. I also might be able to wrangle a partial sponsorship with Jeep through some old contacts.
The word is that it has to be disabled each and every time you start the vehicle by pressing a second button, even in sport mode. With the Auto Stop Eliminator, it permanently disables it. It works on the Explorer and other Ford vehicles but has yet to be confirmed for the BS.
In a normal "situation" the BS would be a no-brainer, considering what you get for the money. However, we are likely in the initial phases of increasing gas prices mixed with higher emission standards. There are multiple 4x4 hybrids coming in the next 2-4 years. No current vehicle is the...
I always add my own 3rd. party paging alarm system with a key fob that confirms you are locked. It's great for example, if you walk into a hotel and are not 100% sure you locked the vehicle. Or, if someone messes with the vehicle and the alarm goes off, you will be paged.
The ground clearance was a concern for many. He obviously does not know the max lift is expected to be 1" non-dealer. Maybe the Badlands package will help. No doubt the 2022 edition will be higher if this is an issue.
Thanks for posting.... but need someone with sports car driving experience to drive the Badlands 2.0 for an accurate review of handling, high speed cornering and heavy braking. Also, some serious off-roading would also help, along with an evaluation of the headlamps at night.
Most warranties transfer and I'm sure this one does, but it will be nice to just confirm.
Even my ultra-reliable Xterra's gas tank pump started to go out with 70 miles to go on my extended warranty. I was in the middle of nowhere storm chasing and about 60 miles from the nearest dealer in OKC...
Good points, but this is a first generation build and there has never been a modern, first year vehicle that did not have some type of bug(s). For example, we still don't know how the modified Escape components will last or how the complicated electronics for off-road systems will actually...
I've heard 20-30 days depending on where you live, but I have not seen that time confirmed. Being in Tucson, I would suspect the train from Hermosillo goes though either Tucson, El Paso or Tijuana, so sooner than later. Then again, the "production date" is likely an estimate. If the Nation shuts...
