I sent an email to "Mad Industries" but never heard back. Not surprising. I'd love to get their feedback about lift kits and what kind of feedback they got from Ford. I'd have a hard time believing Ford would sanction the build (and lift) without some form of engineering approval.
I do find it interesting that almost 100% of the marketing so far for the Sport is directed towards female drivers as opposed to male drivers. I wonder if their research shows there is a larger market for that group?
My original reservation date was August 14th, just got a build date of January 11th. Black Badlands w/ tow, cargo management and Klingon cloaking device.
On a similar note..... I keep seeing lift kits on Sport pictures, including the SEMA show concept vehicle, but no one seems to know anything about the lifts, e.g., max height and if the dealer will do it.
This was the original concept but I changed it back to black. We will also be adding some things from the Ford Bronco Sport accessories book if funds allow. We might be able to store the EMS equipment box on top.

Found this picture today of our first storm intercept vehicle, a Ford Explorer from back in the early / mid-1990's. It does kind of look like a larger version of the Bronco Sport.
The original images had the "orange" as an almost metallic, hot wheels color, then the production vehicles I've seen were more flat, "school bus" yellow. I know there were rumors of a delay for cyber-orange. I wonder if they had issues with applying the original "golden" color and just went base...
Thanks. Regardless, word gets out quick now days with social media, and I won't have a delivery date until March or April. Plenty of time to allow test drivers time to chime in on YouTube.
It's too bad the cyber-orange was not the fantastic golden hue seen in some of the original pictures. All the production vehicles I've seen are too yellow.
I posted this somewhere else, sorry if it's a duplicate (I'm on several Sport groups), but I'm really curious why there have been no independent highway driving reviews? Everything I have seen is off road on controlled courses. I want highway, high speed stats like cornering, acceleration...
Yes, I contacted the company that makes the Auto Start-Stop and they are sure it will work. Oddly, I have seen pictures of the rear seats laying completely flat, and not, so it might be a Badlands vs. other models. We will see.
I do believe the Xterra will be re-introduced in 2022 as a hybrid...
