Hood insulation is missing too. Does the cover and hood insulation helps with temperatures or is just for the noise?
Was thinking about getting one but I don't heard excessive noise + I don't feel like buying a brand new car in pieces.
Prices are insane, right know they ask for 3 to 5k more on top of the sticker price. Arguing with the dealer for a couple of days I took it for 1.2K over MSRP (had to fight a lot for it)
Thanks for all your helpful links. Added the trunk organizer, sunshade, mini trash can and center console...
That means the Big Bend used to cost around 25k? Now BB starts at $29k MSRP. With the BB package, solar roof, bigger wheels, co-pilot and shelf $34k MSRP. Got mine yesterday and was tough to find it with the solar roof. I've been hunting for a couple of weeks.
There're a few products like that on Amazon, but most are 12.5 tall and I think they wont fit nice, yours do just perfect.
I park on the street, so that shelf is a must for me just for privacy-safety. I think the cargo looks different for that reason, I've read somewhere that you can't install...
It looks exactly the same, but the fact you had to put some Loctite and silicone on it sounds weird to me knowing that the cars without the cover (like mine) it actually has the mounting for the cover installed.
Looks like you did a good job, just hope it doesn't affect the warranty.
That is my thinking too. I could be wearing really thick clothes and the manual doesn't say anything about it. This is literally the warning on the manual:
"âš Do not place anything on the seat cover that blocks the heat, for example a seat cover or a cushion. This could cause the seat to...
Yes, I'm adding another layer of insulator, but if I wear jeans, a jacket... clothes would affect more than a thin seat cover as long is not made by some flammable material. Isn't that right?
Thanks for your opinion, I'll probably wait and see if anyone has any problems with their covers.
I've had the same issue in the past with an old Mazda 3 with more than 200k miles. In order to prevent bigger issues and expensive repairs I would go to the dealer ASAP to diagnose it.
It does gets hot! I've only used on the first level, second one already burs, haven't used the max.
Yes, I probably shouldn't do it for now. Thank you!
Manual book from Bronco Sport says not to use cover cuz you can damage the heated system by doing so. Should I strictly follow this and don't do it or they're just covering their butts?
Mustang is the car of my dreams since a child. Absolutely love that car, but after 5 years of fun, with less that 45k miles and the market situation I thought was a good time to make the move.
It has his limitations too, like going camping, snow it could be risky. Back seats are a joke, just...
You're right. I've been looking all around almost for couple of weeks and finding a moonroof in the Big Bend or even in the Outer Banks is rare. This is the only one I've seen.
I've just got my Bronco Sport today and went thru the manual book.
"Page 206 - Driver alert" and "page 207- Lane keeping system"
âš WARNING: In cold and severe weather conditions the system may not function. Rain, snow and spray can all limit sensor performance.
Hello,
Just trade in my Mustang ecoboost 17 for the BB with all the packages and extras. Firsts impressions:
Downsides: - Like many others, missing engine cover.
- On the BB looks like there's no steering wheel warmer available. Ford announce it as one of the...
Hello,
Just got my Big Bend today and I'm proud to announce that I'm in the "missing cover" team :cwl:
Thanks to your post I was able to detect it, if not I would think is just the way the make them.
I've just texted the dealership asking for it. Is this something I should worry about...
