I've owned/still own a '99 Explorer, '08 Expedition, '17 Ecoboost Mustang, and now this '24 Bronco Sport. I "tested" the 0 mile reading on the other three Fords and all of them had about 25 or so miles left after the 0 showed on the readout. I suppose Ford programs in a little extra margin on...
It's okay. I'm a heterosexual Christian white male so I'm used to being discriminated against and excluded from any modern DEI type of consideration. :p
Here's the manual pump version. Still not cheap but if you've already got something like this, I think it should work (?) If you don't have a marine oil pump, the Ronin plug looks like a great option, though still not cheap...
I am not due for my second oil change for several months, but my next try I plan to insert a marine oil drain pump made for boat engines. I have this one. If it is successful sucking up most of the old oil through the dipstick tube like it does my inboard/outboard V8 in the boat, the small...
I am reminded how I got around the "permanent can't change ATF only a dealer can" on my 2008 Expedition with the Triton V-8 and no drain plug for the transmission. I found the fill plug on the right topside of the tranny, then sucked the ATF out of it through the fill hole with a oil change pump...
Years ago I was an accountant for a corporation that was looking at buying out a major extended warranty company. I was tasked with doing due diligence research into that company and the extended warranty business. I forgot the exact figure, but at that time extended warranties payed out...
Wow I guess the Badlands really does ride a lot better than a Big Bend. I have both vehicles and my EcoBoost Mustang's suspension ride quality is vastly better than the BB.
I just did our first oil change. I never read any warning about just how insanely fast the oil flows out of that huge plug hole... the diameter has to be twice of any oil pan plug hole I've ever seen, and even though I was prepared to put the drain pan back enough to catch the oil, the flow was...
The effect is more dramatic for our vehicles, for two reasons.
I also own an EcoBoost Mustang which is a heckuva lot more aerodynamic than our Bronco Sport. In the Mustang, increasing speed results in a very dramatic drop in MPG that I eventually determined to be related to when the extra...
HOW I GET THINGS DONE
This morning I decided to clean out my garage. It’s such a beautiful day and nothing else is planned. At the end of the day, finally, my garage is going to be organized, clean, and look fantastic!
As I open the garage door and look out, I notice that I need to water my...
Regarding old paraffin oils, when I was a teenager I helped tune up my dad's 289 V8 in our 1965 Ford Fairlane station wagon.... he always used Quaker State. This was probably sometime around 1974 and the engine had well over 100k miles on it.
Dad was very anal about maintenance and never missed...
Our '24 BSBB has the fender flares installed which, according to the Ford build site, negates the mud flaps; you can't get both. I assume they use the same mounting points or something (?) The flares beg to space out the tires which make the mud flaps even more needed than they are now.
Has...
