I've been having a issue with the auto start stop not activating due to a message I get on the screen telling me that the battery is charging. I went out one morning and tested the battery, 11.88v...When I'm running the engine, 14.9v. After running the engine for 30 minutes and after turning the...
The OB is a really comfortable ride. If I get stuck in a parking lot puddle I can get out of it. The blue seats are nice as well as the sunroof. I have a smile every time I look at it. The BL seemed to much for my daily ride. So...it boils down to personal choice.
Well I had the appointment and this is what Ford did;
CUSTOMER STATES THAT THE AUTO STOP/START SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING DUE TO BATTERY CHARGE
C: VERIFIED CUSTOMER CONCERN. TESTED BATTERY ON ROTUNDA TESTER. BATTERY PASSED 12.65 VOLTS AND CHARGED FOR 37MINS.
TEST DROVE VEHICLE AFTER CHARGING AND...
I'll call the dealer on Monday...btw, everything is running AOK and the readout when driving states that "all is working normally", until I stop and then I get the message from auto start/stop. I did try with no systems running...same result. Thanks everyone.
Love it or hate it, I've notice that throughout the winter this option doesn't activate. Just curious when I read this message "engine on due to vehicle charging" is there a issue I need to bring to my Ford dealer?
The body shop advised that thers is not a fix for the problem as per Ford. They are re-painting and adding a clear coat film to assist in a repeat from happening again.
Update: I went to the body shop (excellent one btw) and they underestimated the time frame. It's more like 4-5 days. They use a labour guide on performing this job. A lot of disassembling goes on. Most of the cost is in labour and little for the paint and finish (total job is expensive).
My local dealer stated that they have the go ahead from Ford to fix the issue (wouldn't expect any other decision). They are great to deal with btw. It's to go into the body shop for 2-3 days. What the heck takes this long for the most minor chips? I asked if this issue is on Fords radar and...
I've joined the club, crap. I was keeping my eye open for the issue and found it today. Ford dealer took pictures and will get to me on course of action. Did anyone get a resolution?
I have a Canadian vehicle located in Ontario boarding New York state. When I try to change the settings from State/ Province there are no options for the provinces showing up. I get alerts from the closest American County (Franklin NY). Any suggestions? Ford here suggested their shoulders and...
I have the OB and have no issues on the highway. Smooth and quiet. I'm not a lead foot so merging onto the high is done in a responsible manner and not a rocket launch. Cruises alone AOK. I have Ford Escape 2013 4cylinder and I feel like the BS is better on the highway. Enjoy.
