Say Brian, currently I have a 2014 CRV with the regular 2.4 engine and it has been a wonderful engine, still has full pep since I got it. You happen to know if that engine is simply port injected? I know now all CRV's have gone to the 1.5 turbo that has had bad issues with oil dilution.
Brian, thanks for the thorough response. Is it correct to assume the port injection part of it will keep the valves from having the carbon buildup associated with direct fuel injection?
Marty, you are correct sir! I think it is foolish to "go black" on anything that needs to emit a bright light, such as headlamps or tail/brake lamps. If ever you drive on the xway during a good rain/fog with large trucks whipping up all that spray to where you can hardly see your hand in front...
This is the very first I have ever heard: the 1.5 Ecoboost 3 cyl engine from Ford is both direct injection -and- port injection? I would sure like to hear from others on this, as I am in the market for a small SUV and from what I can see and read all over the place, only the RAV4 has a...
I hate seeing too dark tint on front windows to where you can't see anything as far as who is behind the wheel or what they're doing (smoking weed/drinking/texting). Good reason for cops to stop you and check you out. And if you ever want a wave-out to come out from a driveway, forget it. If...
I long for the ol days when just about ALL cars and trucks had the sun band, very very few cars now have them from factory. Nice thing about replacement windshields, if SafeLite does it, I believe all their glass has it standard. Anyway, I like the look of yours, perfect. (just can't...
Brad, have you looked into how easy or hard it will be to replace the air filter and cabin filter yourself when the time comes? I always change my own on my vehicles for far less than a dealer would want, and I do it often so we -and- our vehicles can breathe easier.
Sam, why would you want to diminish the output and effectiveness of your LED headlights and your rear brake lamps and backup lights by covering them over with a dark tint film? Just to look...."cool"? As stupid and inattentive as drivers are these days, I want those following me to WAKE UP...
Aren't the stock tires Michelins? Those should command a better price than most other brands, as a trade or selling outright. Yes, those tires you have on there now look "just right" to me. Let us all know if there are any problems with rubbing. I suspect the speedo will be off just a tad...
Great report after your first month! Do you notice the "fake engine growl" upon acceleration, sort of like a V-6 engine maybe? Some reviewers comment on that, I haven't driven one yet.
Wow, looks sweet with all that rubber around the standard wheels even! Can you explain how you did your own 2 inch lift and did you have to do that in order to house that much rubber around the rims? Any scraping on the front now on full turns?
