Let us know how you like them. They are my number 1 choice but haven't bought them yet. Seem lighter that Falken wildpeaks with better off road performance. There are some good reviews out there that show they are best off road and not great in water or dry pavement, however. The falkens are not...
Now that we have some options from JCR and Rival, I would like to ask the more experienced folks out there what are all y'all thoughts? I was kind of leaning towards the Rival engine plate and then saw that JCR has a whole system of plates and covers. But, that is going to get heavy and...
That was the car a learned to drive on! '87 Bronco II. I did love it and it was a big reason I dug the Sprot when it came out. But never felt that it was a powerful car. I see those towing numbers and remember it was a V6, but it struggled up hills. I can't imagine it towing much, but guess...
With Yakima aerobars only I haven't noticed much of a drop off. Long term average for me is about 27.5, but I can get around 32 in the right conditions. It really is about driving habits more than anything else I have noticed. I just accelerate to speed limit reasonably and use cruise to keep...
There are those of us that care a bit about mileage. Obviously, not all driving conditions are conducive to great mileage, but I too am surprised by the 30+ mpg I can get with a little conscience driving and pretty normal driving conditions.
So the overall conclusion is this. You will get better performance (acceleration, power up hills and towing) with higher octane gasoline. You won't get better mileage. The best way to improve mileage is to change driving habits (slow acceleration in Normal mode will be even better than just...
Bronco Scout would have been a cool name...but it doesn't change how I really like the car. Me too, just thought it helped me thread the line with having some fun, looking cool, and being practical. Don't regret going with the sport and don't regret going with Big Bend either.
Interesting. A lot of people were just mad that it got the Bronco name....Was it going to be a Bronco Scout? or just Scout? That probably would have made a different group of people mad so ... you can't win them all.
Yeah, people are really underestimating the 1.5L. I get it, is has 3 cylinders and it sounds small....but it is mighty, it just goes.
So, you only put on the big 245 tires, no lift and no rubbing and decent gas mileage? And you got about 1.5 inches higher, that would give a base/big bend...
I have that question too. I have seen some guys online take their BB up some loose gravel hills and over rocks using SAND mode, which doesn't seem right. Now that I can see how to disable traction control (thanks to those in this thread) then I think NORMAL for most applications or SLIPPERY...
