thank You. I will be honest, I am starting to get pretty pissed at this point.
I am happy this is helpful to others. I have always been a Ford lover, however, this is definitely changing my view. My wife has also been a Ford girl. She Really wanted to get the full size in a few years. I’m am...
im sure I will be, if that is the route we are forced to go. However, I think two weeks to tare a transmission down is ridiculous.
Dang!! She has been on the phone (hold) most of the day with Ford. Two people told her they were trying to figure out the correct person/department to handle the...
at this point, I feel inclined to research our lemon law options. The vehicle was purchased in Idaho, and we live in Oregon. What I read last night was,
“You are entitled to Lemon Law protection when the vehicle has been in the shop for an unreasonable number of repairs or an unreasonable...
Update
So,, the dealership finally started the process today. They said the fluid levels were not an issue and the transmission needs to be completely torn down. This is supposed to take a minimum of two weeks.
At this point, I would think Ford would want to have the dealership send them...

Update,
She called and spoke with a rep who told her the guy who was supposed to call her was out sick and she would have him call when he returned to work. My wife told the girl this was not acceptable and wanted a call back from someone by the end of the day. She was polite and respectful...
Still haven’t heard anything back from the dealership. So, I decided to drive through their lot on my break this morning and the Bronco is still sitting in the same place. She is going to call the dealership today and then Ford at the number mentioned to see if they have any way to speed things up.
Is this 8-10 week wait applicable to Broncos that went into limp mode and had to be towed to the dealership?
I would think it would be much more cost effective to get vehicles fixed as soon as possible, rather than paying for rental vehicles for that long.
I hope they figure it out quickly for you. Ours had the check engine light come on, then the transmission started slipping at less than 900 miles. It went into limp mode and was towed over a week ago to the dealership. They haven’t touched it yet. I guess their “transmission specialist” was out...
I messaged him earlier and haven’t heard back. I’m curious what has been done to prevent the issues Rough Country faced.
I would think swapping the sway bars out with upgraded/thicker versions, and modified end links would help a ton.
Have you had any experience with Woolworth?
I hadn’t heard of them before now. As for the rough country goes, not surprising. I would not order any of their lift kits, however, they do have good control arms and track bars out now.
I will look into 4wp, but I thought they were bought out a...
Any update on yours?
She spoke with them today and they said all of their “transmission specialist” were out and they wouldn’t be able to start until next week.
Thank you for the update. Hopefully you don’t have to be there much longer. Sounds like they are working on yours at least. Ours still hadn’t been moved when we were there yesterday.
Nope.. we stopped by the dealership yesterday, after using the “chat” option on their site and being told the service department was open. They were not.
I ended up writing a note and having the salesman leave it on the service managers desk. Hopefully we will hear something back today...
Very nice!!
We ended up with a Nissan Versa rental when they took the BS in for the transmission. I am waiting for all of this to get figured out before looking at extras. Curious if you have any pictures and what the total cost was after everything. Thanks for the reply.
