Placed my order to replace my destroyed Badlands with a 2022 model on Oct. 1, got an email on Oct. 12 that it's scheduled for production the week of Dec. 6. I'm still planning on not getting it until the spring, so anything sooner will be a pleasant surprise. It actually ended up being a tiny...
Update: Got my scheduled for production email today — week of December 6. If that holds (big if), any idea what the usual delivery time after production is? (Guess I’m locked in to Hot Pepper Red now.)
I placed an order for a 2022 BL with most of the options on Oct. 1, to replace my destroyed 2021 BL+BL (my insurance payout was enough to cover most of the cost). I got the confirmation email and now I wait for the notification of when it’s scheduled for production. I’m keeping my expectations...
My dealer didn’t even require a deposit. But I’m priority code 19, so it’s going to be awhile regardless. (Sad, because it’s replacing my destroyed 2021 BS BL, but now I’m just going to plan on it being a spring birthday present to myself .)
I added some other options that could delay the build, so you’ll likely beat me regardless. I’ve decided that worst case is I get it as a birthday present to myself in the spring.
More important question: What color did you pick? I went with Hot Pepper Red, but the orangeness of it has me...
It’s under Shopping Tools (link found at the bottom of the page). I selected Bronco Sport, then swiped/clicked to the third/rightmost panel of offers. I must have entered my zip code at some point in the past because it says at the bottom that the offers are for zip code xxxxx (mine showing)...
An update: It quickly became apparent that getting a nearly identical 2021 was essentially impossible, so today I placed an order for a 2022. I’m waffling about the hot pepper red color — they had a 2019 hot pepper red Ranger on the lot, and boy, it can sure look orange in full sunlight. But...
Ordered today, he said no markup, it’ll be MSRP and I’ll get the $1,000 incentive rebate. Unfortunately even though I’m order no. 1 for this dealer, I have priority code 19 :-/
Oh, no deposit required, either.
I tried to get an idea of what Hot Pepper Red looks like before I place an order, so I looked at a 2019 Ranger and it was pretty nice. However, I've noticed the Ranger's color is listed as "Hot Pepper Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat" and I'm wondering if the BS not having Metallic in the paint...
This may be a dumb question, but I've decided to order a 2022 to replace my destroyed 2021 rather than hunt fruitlessly for a replacement. What should I expect for a dealer markup on a order (if any -- I honestly don't know how this works with ordering)?
I’ve since learned the B+P feature is useless right now because it hasn’t been updated for MY2022 and they aren’t building new 2021 orders. I’m going to a dealer to find out about ordering a 2022.
The only small glimmer of hope would be that the car was registered to someone else, but I don’t know how much liability that person would have for letting this guy drive their car like a damn fool.
The settlement will pay off the loan and I’ll net close to $16,000. I hope to get back most or all of the $3,000 extended warranty. So all in all, I’m not out a horrible amount of money. I just really miss that fantastic car (going to see about getting a 2022 now).
The estimate got up to $38,000 once they took it apart and noted extensive structural damage. The rear cargo flooring is buckled, both rear rails are bent and the front would have to be cut apart and welded back together (at least one front rail is yanked out of alignment, too). The right side...
He was cited at the scene for being unlicensed and uninsured, plus having an unrestrained baby in the car (6-month-old on the passenger's lap, was taken to the hospital). The report lists excessive speed and unsafe lane change as the primary crash factors, but I don't know what will happen to...
