I keep getting screws and nails stuck in my tires. I don't know if its from the way I drive? ?‍♂️
They cause slow leaks, so I can usually manage with a portable tire pump i keep in the car, until I have a chance to get them patched. But it happens like once a month.
I've got the stock...
Yeah I'm a window ledge man myself.
I'm 5-9" and I have the seat pretty high. I find the center council a little low, but I use it. Was considering strapping a firm pillow foam pad or something to the top of the hatch. Get a little height, but also protect it from the random 2 x 4 that often...
Could be an actual dead CAT. Or rat. It's common in my area for rats to climb up into the warm engine area and chew on the wires. And then die, and then stink.
I'm ok with the shifter, but I wish the G.O.A.T. dial was different. I want a big 'sport mode' button i can slam with out looking down when someone cuts me off.
I've got a seven-year-old back there, so put a garbage bag for all the snack wrappers (I used a paramilitary 'dump bag' off amazon) and a box of wipes for sticky hands (from Tactical Baby Gear, which has some pretty hilarious/amazing branding going on)...
Thanks for the input everybody!
Yeah, upstate like Hudson Valley/Catskills. They get snow, but not like Buffalo (i was born there ;))
Sound like I'll be fine with the stock Conti's. Last winter I was driving a Honda Fit on half-bald tires, so I'm sure i'll be better off than that at least.
yeah totally, sport mode is no joke. Maybe just buy the Base or Big Bend, and run it in sport mode all the time. The extra gas you burn through is still probably way cheaper than premium of the fancier models. But I'm just guessing
What are peoples thought about snow tires?
I've got a Big Bend with the stock Continental tires.
Think they're necessary?
I'm living in Brooklyn, NY. Mostly city driving with occasional trips to upstate where it can get a little hairy.
yeah i do it all the time
8' will fit on the dash with out opening the glass hatch, but you can go super long with the hatch open. I put a towel or something on the dash and also on the hatch opening just in case, to protect the rubber seals. Because the hatch is pretty high, i find it works...
seriously, the main reason i bought mine was to deal with all the potholes, cobble stones, old trolley tracks, metal plated, etc...
my old honda fit kept getting flat tires.
There was thread a little while back. I guess if for aerodynamics around the tire.

Interesting that the badlands doesn't even come with it. One mine came...
Anyone know what the official name of those little flaps is?
One of mine got loose and got chewed up by the tire, so I'm looking for a replacement part.
