  1. New tires

    Thanks, that is reasonable.
  2. Love my Bronco Sport....but : )

If money weren't an issue, I might have gotten a 4 Runner, but then again Toyota's don't get great mileage. If the Ranger's were still a small truck, I might have gotten one of them. I drive a lot of UTV trails and through a lot of steep washes. The short wheelbase and narrow body of the Sport...

  4. New BS owner questions

When I was young and dumb, I ran out of gas with a truck that had two tanks. I'm older and wider now (misspelling intended) and much more careful now that the fuel pumps are in the gas tank. The first truck I had with an immersed pump had dual tanks. I followed the old pattern and ran the...
  5. Rear tailgate latch not opening, probably broken?

Try what Mark S. said. I had trouble getting mine to close completely, and finally realized that the rubber seal had come out at the bottom and was preventing it from closing all the way. It might also prevent it from opening.
  6. Ford Customer Satisfaction Survey

The 1.5L Draggen' had most of the issues. My biggest complaint is that everything runs off 12v. IMHO, an electric emergency brake is an oxymoron. My 2.0 has been great, and the vehicle is very capable off road. It does everything I hoped, and gets good gas mileage too. I'm not sure how...
  7. If I move from 225/65/17 to 235/65/17, will there be an adjustment on the speedometer?

Mine is the same way, except 1 mph. Same at 70 and 30mph. The diameter change from 225/65R17 to 235/65R17 is 1/2". That will give you 1/4" lift. It will change you speedometer reading. Approximately 2% difference. 2% of 75 mph is 1.5 mph. I have 234/65R17 tires (29" dia.). The "full...
  8. New tires

I'm curious what it cost to recalibrate.
  9. New BS owner questions

just google Bronco Sport Fuel Cap.
  10. Rear Window Washer

Maybe you haven't noticed, but AI isn't any smarter than the average fools on the internet. My rear "sprayer" just dribbles water.
  11. Mcguard wheel lock warning

I broke a wheel lock years ago and took it to Discount Tire. They hammered a socket on it and were able to remove it with a impact gun.
  12. New BS owner questions

I bought an $8 dollar Amazon plastic cap for my fuel fill. Dust gets everywhere in my Bronco when I'm off road, and I don't need to add it to my fuel.
  13. Tires Make a Big Difference

I ended up with Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse ATs. They are 30" tires. I tried to fit it in the spare tire space, and even with the sound deadening pad taken out it doesn't quite fit. It leaves a couple of inches of space below the tire, so it raises the cover a couple of inches. Not a deal...
  14. Tires Make a Big Difference

Do they fit in the spare tire well?
  15. Tires Make a Big Difference

I had KO2s on my Jeep Liberty. It cost at least 2 mpg, but it was an offroad beast. I'm going to try the BFG Trail Terrain. The Falkens have been great, both on and off road, but they don't make them in 235/70R17, which is the size I'm looking for. I want as much rubber between me and the...
  16. New BS owner questions

I bought Tuxmats, and they are good. I had WeatherTechs in my Jeep Liberty, and like them better. It had deep treads, like an off road tire, which allowed the sand and water to fill the cracks and not be on the surface. I find the Tuxmats have to be removed or vacuumed more often. I didn't...
  17. Installed JCR Offroad Evap Skid on Badlands.

I haven't done the passenger side. After my last hunting trip, I'm thinking I need to. I high centered going into a wash, and scraped in the back as well. Trimming the gas tank skid was the easy part. Removing the skid plate was the hard part. They are locktited on, and to remove them, I...
  18. Ah, Construction Season in Phoenix

People in NM ask where the state stores all of those construction barricades. The answer is, on the roads. NM is number one in lots of bad things, like violent crime, and number 48 or worse on good things, like well maintained roads and good education.
  19. moaning brakes on 2021 Big Bend Sport

I got the free back up alarm with my Badlands, and children run from the back of the car everytime I back up. Sometimes it is a blessing to be deaf.
