maybe I missed it but what is the part number for the transmission fluid and how much did you pay for it?

  3. Winning and Losing at the Extended Warranty Game

Consumer reports predicts the 2025 Bronco Sport to be more reliable than the past models and this makes sense. There were lots of issues sourcing parts and raw materials during the 2021-2023. Things seem to have gotten better but of course, that may change again as supply chains are yet again...
  4. AC blowing only hot air - just under warranty

Turns out the compressor locked up and burned out. They checked the fluid and it was good, no contamination. While they had it they replaced two seat belts that were looking to have some issues, all under warranty. I'm definitely going to purchase the extended warranty now. We are putting...
  5. Less loud offroad tires

I need the music, gimme some more
  6. AC blowing only hot air - just under warranty

My AC failed the other day. I'm just under 36k miles so I brought it into the dealership. I am assuming this is covered under warranty though I didn't ask. They were kind enough to get me a rental while they work on it. I have a rear seat belt that also needs to be replaced. We are getting...
  7. Less loud offroad tires

I really like the Falken Wildpeak A/T 3's on my 23 BS BL. Overall the vehicle is quiter than my VW, but I think that has to do with sound dampening in the BS. I don't find the tires to be loud and they are great both on and off-road.
  8. Open window or air conditioning…

Gotta crack a front window a bit
  9. Bronco Sport vs. Full Size Bronco

Last month I looked into replacing my VW golf Sportwagen for a full size Bronco. The BS BL is a very competent off roader and I often find myself on trails with Jeeps. The biggest downside is clearance. another reason for looking to upgrade was the BS is a bit tight on space. Kids are still in...
  10. What I hate about this forum

Is your favorite band Ugly Kid Joe?
  11. Open window or air conditioning…

My first vehicle was a stripped down Jeep Comanche, no AC, manual, no power steering, no FM radio, no power brakes. In the BS I love off roading with windows down regardless of temp. Living in Phoenix, AC for regular driving is necessary for basic health safety.

I’ve come across quite a few trails not listed onX in Arizona.
  13. Light Off-Roading AZ vol.2: City Off-roading

  14. Light Off-Roading AZ vol.2: City Off-roading

30 second video, was nostalgic for some LL Cool J music. (video to large to upload here, so let me know if the link works.)
  15. Light Off-Roading AZ vol.2: City Off-roading

Here's a screenshot of the map. It's before Jomax road, shortly after the landscape business on the east side of Scottsdale road. If you've driven the road you've probably scene the big sign "Desert Foothills Scenic Drive". My visual queue to get ready to turn right is the small wooden signs...
  16. Light Off-Roading AZ vol.2: City Off-roading

A few more photos, I may upload a few videos a bit later.
  17. Light Off-Roading AZ vol.2: City Off-roading

Ever have the itch to go off roading but don’t have the time to commit to at least a half day? The Desert Foothills Scenic Drive in Scottsdale offers an in-city, off-roading experience. Even better is to go right after it rains as there will be some nice puddles to splash through. If you...
  18. Recovery tool

hmmm, I have an impact wrench I almost never use, maybe I should consider using as an emergency tool?
  19. Light Off-Roading AZ vol.1: Apache Trail and A-Cross Road

oh wow, I didn't realize they were poisonous. I didn't touch them, but there was a bunch in bloom on the side of the road.
