I don't really want a faster Bronco Sport. Cars are already way too big and way too powerful. I'd like this vehicle to remain utilitarian and practical.
The 2.0 engine is made in Spain but also in Ohio from what it seems. The 1.5 engine used to be made in Wales. It's now moved to Mexico too. Which is great. Keeping it local keeps the price down.
Phones last a lot longer now than they did. Glass is stronger and battery charging is adaptive now so the battery doesn't get worn out. My last phone was 4.5 years.
That being said, I definitely think that cars should last more than that. Planned obsolescence exists in cars but probably not to...
Apparently the coefficient of drag is 0.29. that's crazy for that shape. Does anyone know what the number for Bronco sport is? I feel like it's over 0.4
I wouldn't worry about anything that's quieter than a stock Elantra N.
Commie California? Soviet union banned lead gasoline early on but we didn't have emission testing or noise requirements there as far as I know. (No one I knew had a car lol) Cali is strict but it's still pretty lax compared...
Displacement is not everything. It makes fun noises but it's wasteful and expensive. 1 liter engines do the work of American 5 liters of 30 years before. I'd rather see a reliable 250HP from the 1.5.
Everyday about 60 miles. Except when there is no school. Summer vacation starts this week so my teacher wife will keep the car home to run errands and I get to ride the bus to work. I prefer the bus because I can get an extra nap. ?
