Help - Looking to purchase tomorrow 😀

I think I’ve read so many posts from both here and Reddit but felt needed to ask… so let me preface my first post here by apologizing if this millionth post about this topic since the advent of the Bronco Sport.

I am looking to buy a BS and have settled on two options: a new fully loaded 2025 OBX with the Sasquatch package or a used/certified 2025 BL with 15k miles. It would be a daily driver, dog hauler, and camping vehicle. Originally I had planned to default BL but wife really loves Eruption Green (the OBX), while BL I am looking at is in Desert Tan (both discontinued colors and why I am targeting the 2025). I would like to make my wife happy but not at the expense of possible headaches later.

So to the questions: How capable is the OBX with the SAS package? Will I regret not having the extra power of the 2.0 if I go camping? We live in the Washington and would like to explore Olympic Nat’l Forest and do some camping off some forest roads. I don’t imagine we will be navigating over any big rocks or obstacles but imagine may want to climb some hillsides.

Are you finding any blowback online? I'm not particularly happy with mine or Ford service, but it looks great as well as being comfortable. I can't say I like the way anything Works in it and I'm completely disappointed with the most important element of all , the infotainment system. I don't think it can be any less cheap or unintuitive. I think dollar for dollar, you can find a better SUV in the same price range.

We’re coming from an 21’ Audi Q5 so I imagine the BS to be a much different animal/experience to live with. The infotainment system in the Audi was decent but I essentially used wireless CarPlay 99% of the time. I just hope navigating buttons and menus are as fast and responsive as I found on the test drive. What other SUVs do feel I should consider - looking at the 30-40k range. Thanks again!

Anytime. I know the feeling and I'll say I kind of enjoy my BS despite my bellyaching. I came from Jeep and I saw this beautiful car, and it is good looking, and thought the change of scenery would be good. After the Audi, I think you're going to love this and I wish you some good years of happy driving.

I opted for the 2026 2.0 Badlands with Sasquatch and Tech pkg.
The 2.0 is powerful and fun to drive.
Twin clutch rear drive unit makes a huge difference when driving through snow or difficult terrain.
The B&O sound system is a major upgrade over previous vehicles.
There's a noise reduction module that quiets the vehicle for everyday driving.
I wanted leather interior with perforated seats; it readily adjusts to body temperature when hot or cold.
Memory driver's seat and power passenger seat.
The drivers seat moves back when exiting and returns to position on entry.
Wireless CarPlay.
When using Waze through CarPlay voice commands for directions and alerts are enabled.
The vehicle is actually more quiet and fun to drive than my wife's '23 Audi Q3.
The 360 camera is now a prerequisite for any vehicle owned.

Personally, I’d go for the Badlands in tan. It’s a great color and unless you are looking for optimal gas milage, the 2.0L is great. But…..happy wife, happy life.

If you are planning on keeping the BS for any length of time beyond the 3 year/36 month warranty expires you should consider getting a Ford ESP plan. You can get them online through a few dealers like Ziegler or Granger that would be less expensive than a selling Ford dealer. A prorated portion of the Ford ESP is refundable if you cancel it before the expiration date. With the cost of repairs today, one expensive issue could pay for the ESP.

Congrats on your ride. I’d love to find a fully loaded BSBL with SAS but the price difference for the 26 is roughly 8-10k more, plus can’t get it in the two desired colors. Maybe I can talk the dealer down if I find one today, just to see how open they’d be.

Is the used 25 BL with the CPO optioned with what you want?

I bought a 2025 BL CPO with 5,800 miles in October 2025. Tech package, sunroof and the cargo management system for options. It has the Ford Blue Advantage Gold certified warranty.

Adds 1 year to the bumper to bumper warranty and a 7 year, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty.

Worth a couple K for the coverage, I believe.

It's my 2nd Sport, both with the 2.0L which is my preference. Others are happy with the 1.5L

I would go with the CPO but that's just my opinion. I really like the desert tan color; it would be my 1st choice if I had the option to choose. But if the wife's not on board, keep the peace.

I'm driving a 2025 BB with two packages that include the cargo management, 1.5L. I am amazed, frankly, at how much power it has (I came from a decade of big truck V8s). In Sport mode it will go. It's rated 180 HP so I could if I wanted tow nearly 2000 lbs (not going to, I gave up the RV & V8 truck for this). I drive almost exclusively Sport mode and average 28 mph. You'll appreciate not paying for premium gas (have a friend with a Q3v who talks about that All The Time). Unlike another poster I have few issues with the infotainment system. There are things I'd change if I could (why is there no oil pressure gauge?) but now I've driven it fir 12000 miles (last week) I'm happy with my decision. And it's Eruption Green

My 2025 OBX gets stupid gas mileage if I drive it conservatively. Yesterday on a flat stretch of freeway I use to get to and from work it was averaging low to mid 5’s for L/100km (you’d have to do the mpg conversion on that) on that particular 10 minute stretch which is fairly flat. That’s best case scenario under ideal conditions and constant speed. I got 3 weeks driving on my last tank of gas which includes a 30km round trip to work 4 days a week.

This past weekend I tried hammering it on a low traffic road through an industrial area and it took noticeably longer to get it up to 150km/h (before I ran out of room) than doing the same in the 2.0 turbo Escape Titanium I traded in. But that’s ok I’ll take the fuel economy. I don’t find the 1.5 lacking for normal everyday driving.

I love all the features and tech, it has 95% of what my Escape had and some things the Escape didn’t. Sony sound system in the Escape sounds better that the B&O but the B&O is decent enough with the bass almost all the way up driving the sub harder that I don’t feel the need for an aftermarket system which is good cuz I can’t afford one lol.

Whose car is it? Yours - get what you want. Your wife’s - let her make the choice. Mrs. T makes the family decisions because most of the time it doesn’t matter to me what she chooses. She’s not picking out my guns, tools or vehicle though.

My experience is similar with both the car and the service. The infotainment and displays and lack of available customization settings are terrible. The squeaks and rattles drive me crazy. There's stuff I like -- the size, the 2.0's power, the surround view cameras -- but way too much is disappointing. No way I'd buy another one.
