I’ve been considering the Wilderness if I ever let go of my 2022 Badlands

Let us know if you go with the wilderness
The '27 Crosstrek has some nice improvements.

The main BIG issue with any Subaru is the CVT. If they switched over to a proper transmission they would be in the game again.

From what I've read and seen in videos, Subaru CVTs are among the top two with Toyota now. However, I'm not a fan of any CVTs. Especially Nissan.
My wife's HR-V has a CVT.

Top two best or top two worst?

A CVT in use on pavement and a CVT in use on obstacles are 2 different things all together. The CVT will slip like mad when climbing anything steep and it will be the deciding factor if you make it or not.

I'm talking street use and mild trails.
