Yeah, that was another option. I'd love to see one in the wild before going that route. Same with Wolfbox.. I like both, but I get a little leery of solutions that I can't see installed on the same make/model in person.

I’m envious — just paid $352 for one year reg on ‘21 BS. I refuse to get RealID on principle (I do have a passport for travel). One “perk” to not having RealID is I can’t do jury duty, etc. as without it I can’t get into the courthouse <lmao>.
I travelled over 2.5 million miles without ever using my DL even once. Retired ID for all my domestic travel and the passport for int’l.

Global Entry (and Nexus when I did a fair bit of Canada travel) makes the return trips that much easier.

As far as Jury Duty, they haven’t called me up in over a decade. Wifey basically was a no-go because of her LEO status. My luck, they’ll call me up just before my Japan trip in the fall…

Vantrue E1 Pro. Not because it’s a great dashcam, but because it fits where and how I want. Waiting on a 6”, 90-degree USB-C cable to power from the dash ports.

Using the 3M VHB on the mount for now. We’ll see how it works and go from there.

John, have you powered up the camera temporarily yet?

Just wondering if the image is inverted correctly on the screen and on any recordings.

Looks like a decent 4K camera.

...Put on the receiver hitch hole plug...
...looked for hiding/storage places for the rest of this stuff... Might have a clue on a fire extinguisher mount... I'll post it if it works.

Enjoy!

I have, and it’s both flippable (for “upside down” mounting) and reversible (for rear-facing).

CA loves games — when I was active LEO they’d send summons and I’d send it back, no problem.
First few years of retirement it went the same way (jury selection said “no problem, youl’ll never get on a jury anyway”). Then, they started having trouble getting jurors . . . summoned me and said, “We don’t care about your status, show up anyway”.
The one time I argued with them over the courthouse they sent me to, and got a change of venue they got me a federal summons, and that’s a different kind of cat let me tell you. Think I’m finally free of them due to age and medical problems, fingers crossed.

I like this option also. In the attached photo I have this sensor (?) facing the interior on the housing on my 2025 BL.

I think it's for the driver attention bull crap.

I'm not sure if this was on my 2021 BL.

I wonder if the Fitcamx has this on the new housing.

I would assume it does. My mindset tells me they took an OEM housing, made a mold of it, and then added the camera mount into it, and recreated a new mold including the camera mount so it’s all in one.

But, assumptions are questionable haha

Any "assumptions" on what this sensor/or camera does?

It’s been said on numerous Facebook groups and google searches that it’s essentially as you stated. Just driver related stuff. To the best of my knowledge.
