REASON FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL

In some of the affected vehicles, the EGR valve fails, causing weak acceleration, engine vibration, a no-start condition, or a loss of motive power (likely at low speeds of 15 mph or below). A check engine light may illuminate. A loss of motive power increases the risk of a crash.

2025 Bronco Sport Manufactured between 11/15/24 and 5/7/25. 12,860 vehicles.

Also includes 25 Ford Maverick 5,644 vehicles and 25 Escape 10,733 and other models.

FWIW, I put in my Vin# to the NHTSA website. The website is supposed to be updated for this recall after 3-4-2026.

It shows no open recalls.

2025 Badlands. Build date 1-23-2025

How did you find your exact build date? All I can find is the month and year.

I do not have my build date handy, but it was at the beginning of March 2025. So it would be within that time frame of affected vehicles. NHTSA shows 0 recalls for my vehicle as well. Makes me wonder.

On your Window Sticker there is a number below the "TOTAL MSRP $XX,XXX" The last six digits displayed is the build date. Highlighted in Orange in this sample.

I am 4/28/25, but I ran my van through through the NHSTA site and it shows no pending recalls. So maybe it's not every one produced during that time span.

I have to look. I don't remember having a window sticker in the paperwork I have for my Bronco Sport. But I do know it was built in the first part of March, because I was getting concerned about the tariffs. I'll have to look.

My window sticker shows 1-15-2025 in that spot but my actual build date is 1-23-2025 as shown in post #6.

Some say Ford stands for "first on race day". Others say it stands for "found on road dead".

I say it stands for "file one recall daily". 🤣

It's really laughable at this point. Looks like the want to break their record of most recalls in a year with back-to-back efforts.

Close enough. There is always a disparity between what the window sticker says and what the actual build date is. I've seen as much as a 3 week difference,....not sure why. Build date on window sticker is always sooner than what Ford's dealer website shows:

On my F150, window stick shows:

Ford Bronco Sport 2025 Bronco Sport Recall NHTSA 26V122 Ford 26S10 EGR Valve Failure 1773181044361-eq

But, PTS shows:

Ford Bronco Sport 2025 Bronco Sport Recall NHTSA 26V122 Ford 26S10 EGR Valve Failure 1773181058375-gi

On our BS, window sticker shows:

Ford Bronco Sport 2025 Bronco Sport Recall NHTSA 26V122 Ford 26S10 EGR Valve Failure 1773181105970-c1

And PTS shows:

Ford Bronco Sport 2025 Bronco Sport Recall NHTSA 26V122 Ford 26S10 EGR Valve Failure 1773181127074-x7

For my 2022, which I special ordered Sept 2021 at a dealership, the Window sticker date is the day all the parts were available and the vehicle started down the assembly line:

11/30/2021: Scheduled to be built week of December 8, 2021

12/03/2021: Build Date (Window sticker states: SPECIAL ORDER … 120321)

12/05/2021: window sticker available

12/30/2021: Built
