Update : filled the coolant up last night to just below max line. Drove about 40 miles last night. Checked it while it was cold this morning and the level was barely visible in the tank. Added more coolant. Getting in touch with the dealer this morning.

Unfortunately your warning for low coolant is a flashing engine light and temperature warning. My guess is bad waterpump and thats why you are low on coolant. Make sure they do a chemical flush and replace the thermostat while they are at it. Some talk on the internet days casting sand from the block casting doesn't get fully removed, causing grit in your coolant, prematurely wearing out your waterpump. Makes 100% perfectly logical sense to me. That grit settles all over amd replacing any simple part like your thermostat mankes sense.

Have you ever had your motor overheat and basically shut off, leaving you stranded on the road? Thats what I meant by your warning of low coolant 🤣

Sure enough. I checked the coolant reservoir this morning and it was empty. Filled it up and now I have warm air from all vents. I'll monitor this reservoir for any leaks.
You should keep checking it. The problem is it shouldn’t have been empty, since it’s a closed system. It might be wise to have a mechanic check it out, or the dealer if it’s under warranty.

Also, don’t over fill the reservoir, only to the mid level between low and full.

Ohhh…… I get it. Funny enough… I was talking with my older sister tonight who works at a Ford Plant. I was asking if she ever had a water pump problem before and that is exactly what she said happened. No power … dead and enough time to get to the side of the road. Definitely trying to avoid that. I do have an appointment on Tuesday but should I not be driving the bronco at all ???

People

Please create a habit of opening your hood at every fill up. Visually check your coolant level.

I have a very, very faint mist of a coolant leak coming from the water pump. I add maybe a cup of coolant every 3-4 months. It is not worth replacing the water pump.

Besides the cost, replacing the pump is easy. I just got my BS, but this spring I plan to do a chemical flush, full flush with distilled water and refill with proper coolant and thermostat replacement to hopefully ward off a failure.

May also want to consult Ford’s procedure on this (at least one version is posted in this forum) where the flush procedure is more extensive

Naw, I do all my own maintenance. Just replaced ball joints, tire rod ends, drag link end and driver axle half shaft on my 2019 F250. Ford techs will never touch my vehicles unless it's warranty related. I recently switched my 17 F150 coolant over to the new yellow. Chemical flush followed by 12 gallons of distilled, new thermostat and its good for 10 years.
