Have been using Pandora through my phone(s) since I bought the car. It has been on and off through my Samsung 25s phone all along. Lately, the app will only play through my phone on the screen and not come up as Pandora. I can't pick up any other apps through the Bronco screen. (Seems to he a thing with Broncos. My intermittent wipers only work once in awhile also) I have tried restarting my phone.

Isn't that the very definition of "intermittent"? /s

It's bluetooth not USB
For Android Auto to work and appear on the center screen you need to use a USB cable. If you are using Bluetooth only, you are not using Android Auto. You are listening to audio in the vehicle from the phone.

You might try deleting the Bluetooth connection and recreating it in both the vehicle and the phone.

I must be getting my Pandora straight through my phone, but the app logo would come up on the Bronco screen and I could navigate the stations through my Bronco screen. Now it only goes through my phone and I have to use my phone for any changes.

I also recommend you get yourself a quality USB-C to USB-C cable. I would go as far as to say you turn off wireless phone projection completely and only used a wired connection. The more I drive our BS, the more I realize how crappy Sync 3 is with both Android Auto and CarPlay (my girl has an iPhone).

Even on a wired connection, it is annoying and my girl finds herself having to unplug her phone to do certain things on the screen that she can't get to while CarPlay is connected. Sync 23188 is the latest for vehicles on Sync 3, but it is still almost 2 and half year old software at this point, and it does not seem like Ford going to continue to support Sync 3, so this is as good as it's gonna get for us.

This is using only a Bluetooth wireless connection.

Open Pandora app on your phone. Press play on the Pandora app on your phone.

Tap the Apps icon on your center screen. If Pandora icon is not shown, Tap Find Mobile Apps.

Tap on Pandora icon.

@Grantorino here are consolidated techniques for Bluetooth connectivity (Android phones) issues and Android Auto connectivity issues:

Android Auto issues with Bluetooth
Obvious things to try first..
1. Update Android software and Android Auto App to latest versions. Update SYNC software to latest version.
2. Purchase a high quality certified data cable (or switch to Wireless adapter).
3. Try a different Android phone with AA.
4. Unpair SYNC from the phone.
5. Clear the Android Auto cache and storage.
6. Perform a Master Reset on SYNC.
This will ensure that all data relating to SYNC is deleted from your phone and all data related to your phone is deleted from SYNC. Following the above, re-pair your phone with SYNC.
