The Auto button has been around a long time. I had one in my 2004 CrownVic.

thats your auto climate control, push it and set the temp and let it do all the work, the thing I thought was really cool when I got my bronco is there are three different levels of auto, that I have never seen before.

With Auto on the air conditioning or heater will start automatically if you start the car remotely depending on the temperature. So will the heated seats, which is rather nice on a chilly morning.

The 3 different levels of Auto mode controls how high the fan speed will go. Set Auto to just first lit dash and the fan speed will stay low and will be quieter than 2 and 3 lit dashes under Auto.

Auto climate control, just set it and leave it!

You can also choose 3 levels for the fan, hence why you have 3 lights….

All 3 = Auto high fan
2 = medium
1 = quiet

I hate the fan noise blasting on max and it was one of the reasons I disliked auto, this fixes it! I use auto medium so I cap the fan speed.
