It’s been kind of a nightmare for me. I downloaded it and I’ve noticed that two apps I use frequently are virtually non-functional. First, Doppler, my music app, stops every time I stop at a stop sign. Something similar happens with Apple Podcasts. It’s a little less frequent with podcasts but both almost non-functional. I am regretting the decision.

I have been checking for app updates many times a day. There have been lots of updates over the last few days since iOS26 was released.

Check for app updates.

Been using it since Tuesday - Works FANTASTIC no issues MY23' BSBL and an iPhone 16
This has also been my experience, but unfortunately, it's not the case across the board.

For those with issues, I suggest the following:
  • Make sure both your phone and your SYNC system are updated to the latest software
  • Reset the SYNC system (press and hold power/volume and fast forward [>>|] buttons until the system restarts).
  • Restart your phone (quick press /release of VOL UP, VOL DOWN then hold POWER buttons until phone restarts)
  • Delete phone from SYNC and set it up again.

Thank you for the advice. I did try those things, still not working. I am kind of worried that Doppler is from a small app developer and I may be out of luck. The good news is that my Sync did indeed need updating and that’s now complete. I am still hopeful that once Apple runs an update the issue may resolve. Thank you everyone for the advice and tips.

So what Build of SYNC 3.4 were you on before the update? What Build are you on now?

Have you done a Master Reset of SYNC?

Your issues do not sound like an issue with CarPlay. If you have been running SYNC 3.4 Build 22251, you can experience all sorts of issues?

Please let us know.

Right now it is Version 3.4, Build 22200. It says it is “Up to Date”. Any thoughts?

My gut feeling is that the fix will require an app update from the developer. Major releases of iOS (x.0) often deprecate specific calls and classes within the app, and can render apps non-functional, and this appears to be what's happening here. If you cannot contact the developer through the app (support link?), or email, you may indeed be out of luck.

I looked through the App Store and found a website for the developer, and there's a CONTACT page, so maybe there's hope and maybe they're working on an update. I did notice that the last update for Doppler was a year ago (which would coincide with the release of iOS 18.0).

You are way out of date. See the following link.

https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/sync-3-4-build-23188-is-the-current-version.11594/

Do you have factory Navigation?

What year is your vehicle?
Thank you! I bought it used a few months ago. It’s a 23. Prior owner never updated the software. I am now up to version 23188. What I’ve learned is that Ford keeps dropping updates once you start the process until you are up to date. I am going to take it for a short drive and see if it resolves the issue. Thank you for this assist! Fingers crossed!

I think you are correct. I’ve already reached out and am waiting for a response. As noted above, I just got to the most recent update and I just took a quick test drive. It works fine until I stop and then begin to move forward again. To me, it’s something between the interplay of the app and the recent CarPlay update. I hate subscription culture, especially since I had purchased a ton of my own music before the major companies forced us into their streaming services. Doppler was a way to enjoy the music without the subscription, but it appears to be a pretty small developer. I’ll give it a little time, and see what happens.

I do! I’ve got everything! lol. It’s a Badlands- low mileage. It does have the nav package.

Also, thank you for all your help on this.
