What happened? That would be the right side exterior D pillar finisher. In most cars there should be a clip or screws on the inside of the back gate that you unscrew or remove to take off the pillar trim/finisher. The below pic looks like there are screws. Removal on many cars is tricky because inside clips or attachments can crack during removal.

I believe that someone’s mower threw a rock and cracked it.
I honestly thought it would just be those 3 rivers but the other side there looks to be a place for a farther.

The replacement piece appears to have attachment locations that would be under the side window.

Hmmm, do you think you will need to remove additional interior trim?

For everyone on the forum, it would be awesome if you could video things as you do them to help others in the future.

From the replacement piece, it looks like the side window glass needs to be removed to access the other fasteners.

Did anyone every figure this out? I just used goof off on my daughters bronco sport and ruined those plastic trim pieces. How easy are they to replace and how much?

The side rear window does in fact need to be removed and rivets drilled out to get that trim piece out. Goof off is a strong solvent and not for plastics. How bad is it? You think you could polish it out with rubbing compound?

I'm VERY surprised that Goof-Off did that.

That’s not nearly as bad as it could've been. I know how i wouldve tried to polish that. But if the surface is flat and not lumpy from the solvent vinyl should work well over it to hide
