UPDATE: Washed the car today with my power washer (first time…. So hot the best job, but It will suffice for now).

took a snap after washing, can barely tell the pattern of the “alien pee” on my tire. I have driven (upwards of 45mph only so far) and no change.

tomorrow we are going out to Hassayampa river and Wickenburg Box Canyon. So there will be some higher speeds and longer trip. Im going to check it at a couple points in the day, will see what happens.

my wife said her car wash has tire shine included (at the auto mat) but that it usually doesn’t work. Could be that is the culprit? That it is just leaking alien pee at random onto cars.

YESSS! I bet that's it. I used to use a drive-thru wash with "tire shine" dispensers. They malfunctioned once and spit that crap all over the side of my car instead of on the tires. I thought the machinery in the washer had sprung a leak and put oil all over the side of my car. It was an oily, goopy, sloppy mess. I can definitely see if the dispensers were not fully operational how you could get splotches instead of a nice, even spread.

NOTE: This does not preclude the possibility of alien involvement. I used to work at a car wash, and I'm pretty sure some of my co-workers were not from planet Earth.

my passenger floor pan does have a dent tho… a rock that wasn’t big flipped under my wheel and became big :-(.

Don’t know enough to know if that’s a big deal or not. Cracked one of the plastic plugs in it.

Did you get your oil changed lately? Sometimes dirty oil can run down the frame rail under the filter or drain plug and as you drive can splatter in the wind. Just a thought.

nah. Happened before that. Still no new gunk after last wash. 99% sure it is the automat Thing.

Did you put those tires on or did they come with the BS?

if you got them put on, the tire place may have over “lubed” the rim to mount the tire. The pressure from filling the tire to its PSI would lock the seams on the rim to keep the tire inflated, but over time based on driving terrain and speed (and centripetal force) some of that “lube” can exit… the seam between rim and tire… but they would have had to use a lot of lube

it happened with original tires AND new. The new ones the guys were aware. And it again was only outside sidewall.

hasn’t happened again and it has been days since I didn’t wast at wife’s automat. Still leaning to the tireshine thing. I was washing it there before I added the rack.

Or it could still be alien pee and they are only attracted to the automat soap.

This is your culprit. Happened to me. At my wash place there is even a sign that warns not to exit at too high a speed (this is the last application) less this occur.

Totally was. They look nice and grimy all the time now hahaha.
