Has anyone tried filling in a rock chip yet? I have a small one all the way down to the metal on the side of my BS OB. Bought a paint pen off ebay, but not sure if it'll look alright. I thought the Cyber Orange was supposed to be a durable tri-coat!

Option 1...gently go for it, protect the metal with paint, it's a bronco...chicks dig scars just do your best to cover and smooth it with a primer base and fill. Mix properly and cover the boo boo.
Option 2 find a dent wizard/Ford body shop and let them do it professionally and you won't see it
Option 3 find a body shop who does good work cheaper than Ford.

Chicks dig scars but this puts a scar on my heart ?

Going to give diy a try and hope I don’t regret it.

The upside if you work small...a body shop can fix it if you can't. Just stay inside the lines. Apply multiple thin layers and build up to the surface depth. Don't try to block it all at once. good luck.

Don’t use a paint pen. It won’t look good. Dr color chip works great. I filled in two chips and you’d never be able to find them. Plenty of YouTube vids on how to use it.

Thank you, they currently don’t have the cyber orange color so I contacted them. Hoping to pick up a kit!

We used to "matchstick" paint to fill chips. Mid-year Corvettes would get a ton of small chips behind the rear wheels.

Clean the area to remove contaminants and use a matchstick or toothpick with paint on it to fill the chip. Finish as required.

This right here. Use a toothpick to apply paint from the pen. Do not use the pen directly. Start with a small fill. Allow to dry an hour or two. Go back in and small fill again. Wait. And then do it a third time. Best way to fill chips without professional equipment. Key is not to over apply on the first application.

Dr Colorchip came in. Very easy to use, and fast drying time. The color was a very flat yellow, so it is kind of obvious.

I have a paint pen too, and the color matches better, but it was very drippy and a pain to apply so I didn’t use it.

Any more feedback on using Dr. Colorchip on Area 51? Assume it is a good match?
