I don't know about that. I tried to order my BL from one dealer and they told me they couldn't submit it with the options I wanted. I went to the next dealer, same day, and they submitted the order with no problems. They told me dealer #1 had been having all their employees submit bogus orders to increase their stock.

That's exactly why the COVP exists. Ford can't provide dealer stock at the levels they could before the supply issues, so some dealers tried to get creative. That first dealer might have been cut off from retail order all together. Good.

Again, I would never even consider a special order in these trying times.

Such a pain in the ass to get a new vehicle. I would have never leased if I knew I’d be running straight into not having a car ready when my current lease expires.

Checked with our dealer for a status. (We ordered a BL on Oct. 28, 2021, premium, 360+, tow, cactus)
Dealer said we have a status of "can't change our order now"....I forget what the actual code is. But that's all the information he gave us. They said there is a parts shortage. (Really?!) We asked why so many similar BLs are getting made that were ordered months after us. Dealer said 'due to parts shortage'. So basically, we are nowhere ahead of where we were on Oct. 28th, 2021. Note that the dealer is most likely a low volume one. *sigh*

Your scenario sounds similar to mine, tho' you have me by about 1-1/2 months.

So the "Race" as I see it, with available info in this thread, shapes up like this:
With Build Dates (Order to Build):
- 9/02 - 4/25 8.50 months Blair Simister
- 11/06 - 5/16 5.25 months MJE
With No Build Dates (Order to Today)
- 9/28 - 4/13 6.50 months Spike
- 10/28 - 4/13 5.50 months Jubaea1
- 11/20 - 4/13 4.75 months AJKidle
- 12/13 - 4/13 4.00 months Badlanders
- 1/15 - 4/13 3.00 months WildFord

I'm not going to try to project the longest Order to Delivery, too many variables.
And sadly, I do not feel as bad as I thought, looking at some of the lengths others have waited, as of recent status.

I know you're the OP, didn't throw you on the list, saw that you finally had yours And fortunately? you are not the winner. None on the list are holding keys - or whatever it is we get at time of delivery.

Yeah, I got lucky. Ford had my ETA delivery date in May and thankfully, I got it quicker. I will say for those waiting, the car's amazing, but it's just insane.

Thanks for compiling a great list! I appreciate learning that despite the fact I‘ve thought I have a long wait, it’s just comparable with everyone else’s.

Unfortunately, these are not normal times. At least there is some light at the end of a the tunnel for you guys. I’ve got a 2 door BL on order and there’s no light at the end of that tunnel. Hence the reason I bought my BS BL. I certainly feel for you all.

And as Escape 2 mentioned, these are a bit on the long side compared to most.
Hope your build stays on schedule, and plant to dealer timeframe is quick.

Any September orders? My ordering nightmare hasn’t come to an end yet but I’m curious if the longest waiting future BS owner. Officially hit the 6 month mark this past week. I ordered on 9/26. Been sitting at a port an hour away from the dealer for a few weeks now. Railroad changed to ready for pickup last week but am still waiting.

I totally feel your pain. We ordered our badlands back in March of 2021 and finally got it December 9th, 2021. It was along wait, but thankfully it was worth it. Absolutely love my badlands! Hang in there.

I ordered my BB Feb 10 I was told build date end of April… i honestly had no clue really what Build Date actually meant. Il be calling in a week or 2 to see how badly I’m getting screwed (I only say that cause if I think the worst I can’t be mad)

Well check with the dealer today - He says it is showing in the plant being built - So no bump for me apparently....

Ordered on Sep 29 and no word on a build date. No word at all actually. My salesguy did not enter my email with the order and told me when he knew something I would know something .... guess I picked the wrong place to order a Bronco Sport from again.

I asked him to do so 3 times and he told me Ford doesn't send emails to customer . There is something fishy here because he would not allow me to enter my email on the order form and told me he already had it in the system ...
