Surface Rust?

During my washing I noticed these little spots in more than one area of the body. Upon closer inspection they appear to be a rust. The surface is raised. Getting it into the Ford dealer next week for assessment. Anyone else have this?

Look up “rail dust”. Comes from being on the train.

Or your own brake pads/rotors...it will buff off...or there's iron removal washes available.

The first two people that responded said the exact things I was going to. It is especially noticeable on white vehicles.

Have you tried a clay bar? Not sure if that would help but I had success on some problem areas I noticed on mine.

I would start with an iron removing wash (lots available out there) and then move to a clay bar if the wash doesn't get it all.

It worked!. Make sure to hose off all the product. Re wash the car and give it a wax.

Good to hear! This is something I would recommend to every new Bronco Sport (or any car) owner. An iron remover wash gets all the rail/road debris off the paint. You want to think that the vehicle is brand new and should be perfect, but it hasn’t been completely protected for at least a few weeks since production. If it was on a train, there is certainly metal on the paint and even if it is on a truck it will as well.

If you want to maintain your paint, this should also be on your spring cleaning list too.
