Lug Nuts for Faux Steelies

Looking for black lug nuts to replace the Ford 2-piece lug nuts on the Ford aluminum "steelie" wheels.
I contacted Driven Products and confirmed that these are the ones DP.

The fit is perfect for thread and taper. but the "skirt" on the OEM nut is 4.5mm wider diameter leaving a gap around the DP nut.
I believe this is just a minor cosmetic issue but wanted some confirmation here before I bolt up all 20 lug nuts.
What do you think?

Yes, just a cosmetic issue. The "hold" of the lug nut happens at the taper, not the flare (or shoulder). This will not affect the safety/security of the lug nut.

I don’t either, but I can’t find a 1-piece nut with a skirt like the Ford OEM lug nut. Any suggestions?

Yes, the style I pictured is called “bulged acorn”. Problem is the OEM is still 4.5mm wider due to the flange or skirt above the taper. No 1-piece nut I can find has that.

a quick search showed these on Ebay. There may be an issue with these as even though they are advertised as 12x1.5, 14x1.5 is mentioned in the specifications.
I'd contact the seller for clarification.

The operative search term is "factory style bulge". Using that I found and ordered these Amazon. They show the width as about 26mm, same as OEM. The eBay ones suggested by @Fossil look to be the same. The DP ones are probably a superior product but without that factory style bulge they won't fit an OEM wheel perfectly. Who knew lug nuts would have so many variables.

the lugs are an easy fix. I found some on amazon full metal, $20. Search for Lincoln MKZ lug nuts, M12x1.5 bulge acorns... a lot of options and a quick peace of mind.
