I thought the same thing and they said no because it's not something they installed. I was kinda pissed.
How long ago did you buy it? Did they tell you the suspension had been modified before you bought it? Is there any portion of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty (NVLW)--usually 3yr/36mon--remaining?

There is a legal term referred to as "merchantability." If they sold you a vehicle advertised as having any or all of the NVLW remaining and did not tell you about the modifications, then I believe you have a good case on which to base a legal claim. You should consider speaking with an attorney.

I had same issue with bracket breaking...called RC and complained and they sent me new ones...they had been redesigned and are a beefed up version...as far as the sway bar links sent with the lift level kit I finally found some better ones afer trying to get them to stop knocking for almost a year now...seems to be way better...also the recommended length they suggest seems to be wrong...the sway bar links are preloaded with their instructions...used live adjustable sway bar links and the ride and steering feel much better now...I will post the sway bar links...wh

I'm sorry but I don't know what IIRC or HRG is.
IIRC just means "if I remember correctly". HRG Off Road is an actual company that makes lift kits. See the link to their Bronco Sport lift kit below. With their kit, they made longer sway bar links to account for the additional 1.5" provided by the spacer that sits on top of the strut. In your case, drop brackets were used so that the factory sway bar links could also be used. But as you can see, that creates another potential point of failure.

How long are the sway bar links from IIRC or HRG lifts for the same 1.5” RC lift?

I’ve been second guessing the sway links themselves and was looking to get replacements. But now I want to remove the drop downs too.
IIRC is just an acronym for "if I remember correctly".

The HRG lift kit uses 1.5" front spacers, so the sway bar links from that kit should work with RC lift kits since that kit also uses 1.5" front spacers. If you replace the factory sway bar links with HRG sway bar links, you will need to remove the drop brackets provided with the RC lift because they will no longer be necessary.

I'm wondering if I should just go with a different lift?? Thoughts?

This is the second thing I have seen with RC Lifts that is not good. First is/was the flat plate on the top of the strut (which is not flat). Now these extension pieces are breaking. There are ways around each of these issues but it might be easier to just get the HRG kit and have the peace of mind. Not sure if they still of the sale going with code “OFFROAD10” but with it the kit was less than $350 delivered.

I have to agree with you and thank you.

That looks like the sway bar link drop bracket. Could be from Rough Country or Ready Lift. From what I've read on this forum, both kits have had quality issues and were not well designed. The good thing is that IIRC, HRG Engineering sells just the sway bar links from their kit so you don't have to buy the entire kit. They made new sway bar links instead of using the existing factory sway bar links with drop brackets like RC and RL.
Is there a link to these sway bar links to remove these drop down brackets or do I have to contact HRG Engineering directly as I do not see them listed on the site?

I wish I would have waited to install mine. Luckily I haven't take her off roading since installing the lift. After seeing other manufacturers offer an extended sway bar link instead of the cheap bracket+cheap links, I would have went the first route. I've seen a few other posts showing this same type of damage.

I don't think the links are listed for sale separately on their website, but I would contact them to see if you can get them. I believe I saw somewhere else on the forum that someone with either an RC or RL lift kit has done that already.

They aren’t the best lifts with the ready and RC. Looks like the sway bar links are being sized wrong and putting stress on the mount when flexing and snapping
