No, probably not. The Sport just simply canāt escape if youāll pardon the pun, itās C2 roots. Something the Maverick doesnāt seem to have to prove, but then nobodyās calling it a Ranger little brother. Perception is a funny thing.A guy at work (owner of several lifted/customized jeeps) when talking about the Bronco/Bronco Sport said "one is for off road and one is for the mall." There's a very serious lack of understanding about the actual capabilities of the Sport, especially the Badlands. I doubt if this misperception of the BS will go away easily.
They already canāt do much more off road to prove off road capability.

Now having said that, there are people (and Iām not one of them, my BS when it comes will be a suburban use vehicle) on here who use their Sports just as Ford marketing intends with outdoors activities in mind. Perhaps more so than the ābigā broncos which here seem to get the same use as any other vehicle. Mall crawler indeed.
Actually the biggest offender seems to be the defender. I assume they can be used off road, but theyāre purchased, or leased perhaps, here only as the latest automotive fashion to stand out in traffic.
